VALPARAISO EXPERIENCES OPTION 1: Valparaiso Walking through Valparaiso's Markets and Historical Quarters When visiting the city of Valparaíso, you won’t want to miss the best that the city has to offer. If you’re interested in real local activities, then this tour is perfect for you. We will pick you up at your accommodation. From there we will transfer the group to Caleta Portales, a local fisherman’s cove, where the fishermen are reeling in their day’s catch, and they sell fish fresh off their boats. We will take a few minutes to walk around and then proceed to feed the Sea Lions. The tour continues with us heading towards Argentina Avenue to take the Trolley Bus. We’ll get off at Plaza Victoria, and take a walk through the former, “Grand Avenue” of Valparaíso. From there we will go to “La Empanada Famosa” for one of their famous empanadas, which you can have with either a beer or a soft drink. We’ll head up to the Concepción and Cerro Alegre hills for a short walking tour, surrounded by churches, the century old houses, and vibrant colors, along with astounding views that this city has to offer. After this, hunger will most likely strike, and we’ll head to one of the city’s best local restaurants for a local meal (specialty is seafood, but they do have other food as well). After lunch, we'll descend towards Plaza Sotomayor, and if you feel like it, you can board a boat, to take a ride around the bayside. We’ll continue to Serrano and the historical neighborhoods, where we can have some beer or maybe a local drink. PRICE USD 159 P/P OPTION 2: Valparaiso Street Art tour Chile's First Street Art & Urban Underground Tour Join our tour through this maze of a city, as we walk through the alleyways and staircases, in this “Favela-Reminiscent” City. Our tour stands out due to the fact that you can learn everything you ever wanted about graffiti. We will explain the techniques used; a background on the artists; history of Graffiti in Chile; the types of artists, the styles, and of course the impact it has on the city. You'll see the works of South American graffiti artists/ street artists, such as Cekis, Horate, Grin, Saile, Inti, Fisek, Tombo, Vasko/Basco, Dasic, Pohyo, Jekse, Cines, Setok, West, Eney, Dana, Juanita Perez, Fisura, Teo and many more. Your expert guide will make sure you have a unique experience, going underground into the world of street art, and seeing an area less visited by most people who come to Valparaíso. Professional guide, and drinks along the way are included. Tour Meeting Place: We will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Plaza Aníbal Pinto. City & Street Art Tour So, since we're from here, and we know the city's history, the best places to eat and drink, the alleyways and staircases in the middle of nowhere, this tour might be perfect if you want to "Kill two birds with one stone". You get to see the city, and at the same time you get to learn about its street art. We will pick you up ate your hotel and head towards "Hotel Queen Victoria" in Plaza Sotomayor. From there we'll tell you the stories and history of this marvelous city. As we make our way through the hills, we'll visit the museum of fine arts, and we'll see the best of the Alegre and Concepcion Historical Districts. From there we'll move on to the "B" Side of Valparaíso, where the views are just as amazing and there are stories in every corner. We'll visit an urban art gallery, where you can talk to some artists, ask them questions or simply hang out and have a laugh or two. Tour Meeting Place: "Hotel Queen Victoria" in Plaza Sotomayor. Schedule: You tell us what time suits you best (RSVP Only) The tour is about 3.5 hours long. PRICE USD 75 ( Van pick up is not included) OPTION 4: Street Art & Historical City tour This is probably the most complete tour. This is an amazing option for those who want to cover as much ground as possible in one day, seeing both the graffiti, and getting the important non-graffiti facts of the city. This tour is done by vehicle in one of our Vans, we will take you from one end of the city to the other in 4 hours. We begin by visiting the Playa Ancha Hill, and seeing some great graffitis there, as well as Paseo 21 de Mayo, and Av. Gran Bretaña, where the British immigrants lived during the turn of the century/ early 1900's. We then go to Barrio Puerto and see the oldest area of Valparaíso, as well as the street art here. In this area we'll visit some of the old historical bars, maybe enter a century old building or two, and move on to Sotomayor Square, where you'll get a full explanation of the landmarks and buildings in the area. We'll continue by visiting Cerro Alegre and Concepción, the fine arts museum (except mondays), we'll visit the Miraflores and Jail hills, as well as Cerro San Juan de Dios and Cerro Yungay, seeing great graffiti by artists like ROA, UKD Crew, WSDM Crew, STGO UNDER Crew, DVE Crew and more. We will then head to Cerro Polanco, where we'll see some of the amazing pieces painted during the last graffiti festival. Here we'll take the elevator to the top and make our way down through the main streets of the hill. Schedule: Private; you tell us what time suits you best (RSVP Only) The tour is about 4 hours long. PRICE USD 109 P/P OPTION 5: Be a Graffiti artist for a day and paint on the walls... In honor of those who created the first throw-ups and wildstyles, we have created this tour to take you back in history a bit, as we go "Writing". This tour consists of you getting some cans of spray, putting them in your pack, and "putting yourself up"; you'll get to see what it feels like to be a "Graffiti Writer". INCLUDED: • Professional guide • 2 cans of Spray paint P/P + Latex Paint for Fill-ins. • Visit to Artists’ workshop where you design your "Bomba". PS: It is illegal to write in the streets in Chile. You can only do this with permission from the owners of the homes. This tour is done with permission of the owners of each house. PRICE USD 105 P/P OPTION 6: "Owning The Streets" tour. Have one of your original pieces up on a Valparaíso wall This tour begins by us taking you out to our artists’ workshop, and they’ll help you design your graffiti characters and/or stencils. OPTION 7: AIR BALLOON FLIGHTS Free Flight This activity is strictly private for company groups, and its done in the city of Olmue. join us in the amazing experience Hot Air Balloons, flying through the central valleys of Chile you will enjoy a truly unique view of the Andes mountain range, and its vineyards. Upon landing you will be awaited with cold champagne to toast the successful flight, on the side carefully picked gourmet cheese and hams. After such a relaxing and joyful experience you will be driven back to our meeting point or Hotel of your choice. Captive Flight Captive elevations go up to 120ft in altitude. We allow the Hot Air Balloon to your will with an expert guide/operator. The Balloon remains anchored to the ground by a rope allowing the user to ascend on multiple occasions with no horizontal displacement. Inside the Balloon basket 2 persons are allowed plus the operator so nearly in an hour flight almost 16 people could aboard the Balloon.
