CLASS-I & II

NOVEMBER-DECEMBER

Dear Parents

The monthof November heralds the onset of winters. The air is pleasantly cool and its time to prepare for the beginning of winter season. . Parents are advised to buy winter uniform in time. It is mandatory to wear winter uniform w.e.f November 1,2019.

The months of September and October had their share of activities. Children participated in cleanliness drive during the ‘SwachchataPakhwada’ ,various activities related to Jayanti and the Creative week.

On September 2, an assembly on the topic ‘Teachers’ Day’ was presented by the students of class I E to honour their teachers.

Class I and Class II observed the SwachchataPakhwada from September 2 to September 11,2019. A variety of activities like poster making ,song, cleaning up etc were held.

On September 9,2019, the students of class I F conducted an assembly on the topic ‘Safety’. The catch line was Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow. The students made the audience aware of the ways of keeping themselves safe on the road, in school, on the road, while playing outdoors and even at home.

‘Nobody can do for little children what grandparents can do, Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children’- anonymous On September16,2019, the students of class II A presented an assembly on the topic ‘Love For Grandparents’. A short skit signifying the role of grandparents in our lives was presented. Added to this was a melodious song called ‘ Happy Grandparents’ dedicated to the grandparents. The children thus expressed their love and gratitude towards their grandparents.

‘A pollution free nation will give a healthy generation’. On September 23,2019 class II B presented an assembly on the topic ‘Pollution –its effects and ways of fighting it’. The thought of the day , aptly was’ Be a part of solution, not a part of pollution’.

As we are celebrating 150th birth anniversary of , The Father of our Nation this year, the students took a pledge that neither will they litter, nor would they allow anyone else to litter and that they would always work towards keeping their surroundings clean.

‘An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind’. Having this teaching of Gandhiji as the thought for the day. Class II C presented an assembly on the topic ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ on September 30,2019.

On October 1 , 2019 the students of class I celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by participating in an activity based on the three basic ideals that Gandhiji always preached ‘ See No Evil’ , ‘Hear No Evil’ and ‘Speak No Evil’. The students coloured the sketches of the depicting the same ideals.

Simultaneously , the students of class II were sensitized about keeping their surroundings clean. They were made to understand that their responsibilities towards cleanliness should extend not only to their immediate surroundings, but to our entire country . The theme was ‘ GandhijikaSapna, Swachchh Bharat Ho Apna’.

Creative week was organized by the Art Department. Different activities were organized for each class. The students participated enthusiastically in all the activities. Two best entries were awarded certificates in each category.

Art Competition An art competition was organized on 14.10.2019. The topic for class I and II was ‘Dussehra’. The students drew sketches of Ravan and coloured them beautifully. In Class II the theme for the competition wa ‘Say No To Crackers’. The students came up with innovative ideas and surprised the teachers with their creative skills.

Craft Activity On 15.10.2019, the students of classI decorated the cutouts of ‘ diyas’ with sparkle, colours, glitter etc. The students of class II made paper lanterns and decorated them. CLASS I

CLASS II

On 21.10.2019, Class II D presented an assembly on the topic ‘’, which is the ‘Festival of Lights’. The participants urged the audience to ‘Say No to crackers’ as they cause both air and noise pollution.

Kindly Note-  Students are expected to be regular and they must reach the school on time.  It is mandatory to wear winter uniform w.e.f. 1st November, 2019.  Please do not send sick children to the school.  Parents are requested to carry their ID cards whenever they visit the school.  It is mandatory for the parents to attend the PTM. In case they have some urgent work, they must inform the class teacher in writing in advance.
