It is my road, it is the road which I will reserve for you, dear Father; it is the road which I will reserve for all those souls who will want to live in the Divine Will.” 1 The Holy Death of Luisa Piccarreta By Padre Bernardino Bucci At the news of Luisa’s death which occurred on March 4 A.D. 1947, it seemed that the people of Corato paused to live a unique and extraordinary event. Their Luisa, their Saint, was no more. And like a river in full spate they poured into Luisa’s house to look at her and express their affection to her, for so many years esteemed and beloved by all. On the day of her funeral official mourning was declared in the town. Luisa’s body remained exposed for public veneration (with the permission of the health service’s doctor) to satisfy the thousands of people of Corato and the surrounding area who poured into the house day and night. It was necessary to have recourse to the police to control the flow of people. Everyone was under the impression that Luisa had fallen asleep and was not dead. In fact, her body, laid on the bed, did not undergo rigor mortis. It was possible to raise her hands, move her head in all directions, bend her fingers without forcing them, and raise and bend her arms. Her eyelids could be lifted and one could see her shining eyes, undimmed by death: everyone – strangers, priests, ecclesiastical and civil figures – wanted to see this unique and marvelous case. A great many skeptics left the mortuary chamber shocked, crying and renewed. Luisa seemed alive, as if a placid and serene sleep had stopped her for an instant. Everyone was convinced that she wasn’t dead, and some said: "Call the bishop and you will see that by making the sign of the cross he will awaken her; isn’t Luisa a daughter of obedience?". This hope expressed the love they all felt for the Servant of God. But a council of doctors, summoned by the religious, civil and health authorities, declared after a careful examination that beloved Luisa really was dead. As long as she remained exposed for public veneration, she gave no sign of corruption nor did her body emanate any odors of putrefaction. Like a queen, she remained sitting on her bed. It proved impossible to lay her out, so that a special "p" shaped coffin had to be built for her, the front and sides of glass so that everyone could see her for the last time. Luisa the Saint, who for about 70 years had always remained sitting up in bed without ever leaving her room, passed among the immense lines of people, borne on the shoulders of a numerous group of sisters of all orders and surrounded by an unspecified number of priests and religious. Her funeral was celebrated by the entire chapter in the main church, with the participation of all the confraternities of Corato…I visited Luisa’s body several times during the four days that she remained exposed, touching her several times and taking some of the flowers that were constantly placed upon her feet and legs, which I have guarded jealously for many years among my books. Many were given to the sick who were healed when they touched them and were able to attend her funeral. As the coffin passed, the bed-ridden were carried to the doors of their houses and many, it was said, received special graces. Luisa was buried in the Calvi family chapel. On July 3 A.D. 1963, her mortal remains were returned to Corato, to rest permanently in the parish Church of Santa Maria Greca. 2 Luisa in the serenity of sister death The special coffin, designed with front and side windows The coffin carried by the faithful of the Servant of God All the townspeople of Corato bid their last farewell to Luisa "the Saint". Book of Heaven - Volume 1 One morning – it was the day of the Exaltation of the Cross – my sweet Jesus transported me to the holy sites; and first, He told me many things about the virtue of the cross. I don’t remember all, but just a few things: “My beloved, do you want to be beautiful? The cross will give you the most beautiful features that can possibly be found, both in Heaven and on earth; so much so, as to enamor God, who contains all beauties within Himself.” Letter of Luisa Piccarreta to Federico Abresch from Bologna Don’t you know that Redemption is preparation for the Kingdom of the Divine Will? And the Sacred Heart of Jesus is nothing other than the immense Reign of His Will... Highlights: In the year 1846, June 21, Pope Pius IX started his Papal Reign. On 8 Dec., 1854 Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin as a dogma of the Church. He also fostered the devotion to the Sacred Heart. On 23 Sept.A.D. 1856, extended this feast to the whole world with the rite of a double major. In his Encyclical "Quanta Cura" of 8 Dec., A.D. 1864, he condemned sixteen propositions touching on errors of the age. This Encyclical was accompanied by the famous "Syllabus errorum", a table of eighty previously censured propositions bearing on pantheism, naturalism, rationalism, indifferentism, socialism, communism, freemasonry, and the various kinds of religious liberalism. Luisa was born the following year April 23A.D. 1865. On 29 June A.D. 1869, he issued the Bull "Æterni Patris", convoking the First Vatican Council which he opened in the presence of 700 bishops on 8 Dec. A.D. 1879. During its fourth solemn session, on 18 July A.D. 1870, the papal infallibility was made a dogma of the Church. At his instance the Catholic world was consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on 16 June, A.D. 1875. In 1871 he celebrated his twenty-fifth, in 1876 his thirtieth, anniversary as pope, and in 1877 his golden episcopal jubilee. His tomb is in the church of San Lorenzo fuori le mura. The so-called diocesan process of his beatification was begun on 11 February, A.D. 1907. SAINT MALACHY PROPHECY - Crux de cruce. Cross from a cross. PIUS IX. 1846-1878. During his pontificate, the House of Savoy, whose coat of arms is a white cross on a red background, reunited Italy and stripped the pope of his territorial possessions. Pope Pius XII, commenting on the beatification process of Pius IX, used the words per crucem ad lucem (through the cross to light). Pius IX was finally beatified by Pope John Paul II in A.D. 2000. 5 The 25 year period of Luisa’s life where Luisa becomes “Victim, Bride of Jesus” Leo XIII (1878-1903) Motto "Lumen in caelo" (Sunshine in heaven) Luisa begins writing under obedience and completes 1st volume on her life up to the point where she was given the obedience to start writing.

Karl Rahner’s Work on the Assumption of Mary into Heaven By Mark F. Fischer, St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo [Mark F. Fischer is Professor of Theology at St. John’s Seminary, the seminary of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on Hans-Georg Gadamer and the Catholic Theology of Tradition (Berkeley: Graduate Theological Union, 1985). In 2005 he published The Foundations of Karl Rahner, a paraphrase of Rahner’s Foundations of Catholic Faith.] Abstract Karl Rahner completed his Assumptio Beatae Mariae Virginis in 1951 but did not receive permission to publish it from his Jesuit superiors. The work was only published in 2004, twenty years after Rahner’s death. This essay examines his treatise on the Assumption of Mary and the objections of the censors. The relation between the treatise and Rahner’s publication of 1947, “On the Theology of Death,” receives special attention. The shorter work was appended to the Marian treatise as an “excursus” but laid the foundation for the later work. Rahner reinterpreted the dogma of the Assumption in light of the resurrection of the dead, which the assumption of Mary’s body and soul into heaven anticipates. Among Rahner’s many speculative comments, this essay focuses on three. First, at the final resurrection, the soul (separated at death from the body) re-creates a new and glorified body as its fulfillment and perfection. Second, the glorified body expresses a metaphysical holiness that matures between the moment of death and the final judgment. And third, the resurrection of the body completes the transformation of the world as a new heaven and a new earth that began with the Incarnation.

  • CONDEMNATION of COMMUNISM in PONTIFICAL MAGISTERIUM Since Pius IX Till Paul VI
CONDEMNATION OF COMMUNISM IN PONTIFICAL MAGISTERIUM since Pius IX till Paul VI Petru CIOBANU Abstract: The present article, based on several magisterial documents, illus- trates the approach of Roman Pontiffs, beginning with Pius IX and ending with Paul VI, with regard to what used to be called „red plague”, i.e. communism. The article analyses one by one various encyclical letters, apostolic letters, speeches and radio messages in which Roman Pontiffs condemned socialist theories, either explicitly or implicitly. Keywords: Magisterium, Pope, communism, socialism, marxism, Christianity, encyclical letter, apostolic letter, collectivism, atheism, materialism. Introduction And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Rev 12,3-4.13.17). These words, written over 2.000 years ago, didn’t lose their value along time, since then and till now, reflecting the destiny of Christian Church and Christians – „those who guard the God words and have the Jesus tes- timony” – in the world, where appear so many „dragons” that have the aim to persecute Jesus Christ followers.

  • PRESENTATION of the COMMUNIQUÉS of the GENERAL CHAPTER 1. from January
[Translated from Original Spanish] Thy Kingdom Come! PRESENTATION OF THE COMMUNIQUÉS OF THE GENERAL CHAPTER 1. From January 8th through February 25th, 2014, the Extraordinary General Chapter of the Legion of Christ took place in Rome. His Eminence, Cardinal Velasio De Paolis, CS, and his two counselors, Fr. Gianfranco Ghirlanda, SJ, and Fr. Agostino Montan, CSI, presided. Sixty- one chapter fathers participated, 19 ex officio and 42 elected by the nine territories of the congregation and the centers of Rome. 2. This Extraordinary General Chapter marks the end of the journey of in-depth revision that the congregation has travelled since the apostolic visitation, which took place during 2009- 2010, and the naming of a Pontifical Delegate in the summer of 2010. Our principal tasks in the Chapter, as Pope Benedict XVI1 indicated and as Pope Francis confirmed2, were to revise the Constitutions and to elect a new central government for the congregation. 3. In the first days, in light of the reports that the Pontifical Delegate and the pro-General Director submitted, we focused on analyzing the life of the Congregation since the ordinary General Chapter that took place in 2005. One of the outcomes of the intense exchange of ideas that took place in those days was the communiqué that the Chapter approved on January 20th, 2014, about the journey of renewal of the Congregation. This same day, the elections of the new central government took place. Once the election had been confirmed and the Holy See made the two nominations that it had reserved to itself, the elections of Fr.

AD APOSTOLORUM PRINCIPIS ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS XII ON COMMUNISM AND THE CHURCH IN CHINA TO OUR VENERABLE BRETHREN AND BELOVED CHILDREN, THE ARCHBISHOPS, BISHIOPS, OTHER LOCAL ORDINARIES AND CLERGY AND PEOPLE OF CHINA IN PEACE AND COMMUNION WITH THE APOSTOLIC SEE June 29, 1958 Venerable Brethren and Beloved Children, Greetings and Apostolic Benediction. At the tomb of the Prince of the Apostles, in the majestic Vatican Basilica, Our immediate Predecessor of deathless memory, Pius XI, duly consecrated and raised to the fullness of the priesthood, as you well know, "the flowers and . latest buds of the Chinese episcopate."[1] 2. On that solemn occasion he added these words: "You have come, Venerable Brethren, to visit Peter, and you have received from him the shepherd's staff, with which to undertake your apostolic journeys and to gather together your sheep. It is Peter who with great love has embraced you who are in great part Our hope for the spread of the truth of the Gospel among your people."[2] 3. The memory of that allocution comes to Our mind today, Venerable Brethren and dear children, as the Catholic Church in your fatherland is experiencing great suffering and loss. But the hope of our great Predecessor was not in vain, nor did it prove without effect, for new bands of shepherds and heralds of the Gospel have been joined to the first group of bishops whom Peter, living in his Successor, sent to feed those chosen flocks of the Lord. 4. New works and religious undertakings prospered among you despite many obstacles.

  • The Holy See
The Holy See ANNI SACRI ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS XII ON A PROGRAM FOR COMBATTING ATHEISTIC PROPAGANDA THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO THE VENERABLE BRETHREN THE PATRIARCHS, PRIMATES, ARCHBISHOPS, BISHIOPS, AND OTHER ORDINARIES IN PEACE AND COMMUNION WITH THE APOSTOLIC SEE The Holy Year, which is in the course of passing, has already furnished Us with more than one reason for joy and consolation. To Rome, whence the light of the Gospel teaching radiates since the origins of the Church, multitudes of the faithful have streamed from all parts of the world. They have come to the See of Peter not only to redeem their own faults, but also to expiate the sins of the world and implore the return of society to God, from Whom alone can come true peace of heart, civil concord and the well-being of nations. 2. And We know that these first groups of pilgrims form the vanguard of those who will come more frequently and in greater numbers during the favorable season. Therefore, the hope is warranted that from this still more salutary and abundant fruits will be harvested. Nevertheless, if these sights have given Us gentle comfort, reasons are not lacking for the anxiety and anguish which grieve Our paternal heart. And in the first place, although war has almost everywhere ceased, nevertheless, the longed-for peace has not come - a stable and solid peace which might happily solve the many and ever-increasing reasons for discord. Many nations are still opposed to each other; and as confidence lessens an armaments race begins, leaving the hearts of all overcome by fear and trepidation.

  • Ad Caeli Reginam
Ad Caeli Reginam accepted so that with the encyclical Ad Caeli Reginam, of October 11, 1954, Pope Pius XII instituted the feast of the Queenship of Mary.[2] 2 Basic teachings According to Catholic teaching Mary should be called Queen, not only because of her divine motherhood of Je- sus Christ, but also because God has willed her to have an exceptional role in the work of salvation. Mary was cho- sen as Mother of Christ in order that she might become a partner in the redemption of the human race: “As Christ, the new Adam must be called a King not merely because He is Son of God, but also because He is our Redeemer, so, analogously, the Most Blessed Virgin is queen not only because she is Mother of God, but also because, as the new Eve, she was associated with the new Adam.”[3] 3 Context The Church has always taught that Mary is far above all other creatures in dignity, and after her Son possesses pri- macy over all. Germanus of Constantinople says: “Your honor and dignity surpass the whole of creation; your Botticelli, the coronation of the Virgin greatness places you above the angels.” And St. John Damascene goes so far as to say: “Limitless is the dif- Ad Caeli Reginam is an encyclical of Pope Pius XII, ference between God’s servants and His Mother.” [4] given at Rome, from St. Peter’s Basilica, on the feast of Pius XII quotes his predecessors: Pope Pius IX, “With a the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the eleventh heart that is truly a mother’s,” does she approach the prob- day of October, 1954, in the sixteenth year of his Pon- lem of our salvation, and is solicitous for the whole hu- tificate.

  • Fr. Luigi Villa: Probably John XXIII and Paul VI Initiated in the Freemasonry?
PAUL VI… BEATIFIED? By father Doctor LUIGI VILLA PAUL VI… BEATIFIED? By father Doctor LUIGI VILLA (First Edition: February 1998 – in italian) (Second Edition: July 2001 –in italian) EDITRICE CIVILTà Via Galileo Galilei, 121 25123 BRESCIA (ITALY) PREFACE Paul VI was always an enigma to all, as Pope John XXIII did himself observe. But today, after his death, I believe that can no longer be said. In the light, in fact, of his numerous writings and speeches and of his actions, the figure of Paul VI is clear of any ambiguity. Even if corroborating it is not so easy or simple, he having been a very complex figure, both when speaking of his preferences, by way of suggestions and insinuations, and for his abrupt leaps from idea to idea, and when opting for Tradition, but then presently for novelty, and all in language often very inaccurate. It will suffice to read, for example, his Addresses of the General Audiences, to see a Paul VI prey of an irreducible duality of thought, a permanent conflict between his thought and that of the Church, which he was nonetheless to represent. Since his time at Milan, not a few called him already “ ‘the man of the utopias,’ an Archbishop in pursuit of illusions, generous dreams, yes, yet unreal!”… Which brings to mind what Pius X said of the Chiefs of the Sillon1: “… The exaltation of their sentiments, the blind goodness of their hearts, their philosophical mysticisms, mixed … with Illuminism, have carried them toward another Gospel, in which they thought they saw the true Gospel of our Savior…”2.
