The public who have possessed with basic boat /board handling skills with relevant certificates can hire the craft available in water sports centres for self-practice in the designated inshore waters. (2) Will the Administration provide an overview of all private and public facilities supporting leisure marine and water sports facilities in the Southern District (piers, landings, moorings, storage, clubs, and so forth)? The current and forecasted usage of each facility? And identify which ones are required and which ones require expansion?     Grading of beach water quality released The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) today (August 27) released the latest grading of water quality for 39 gazetted beaches (see Note 1) and one non-gazetted beach (i.e. Discovery Bay, see Note 2).     Annex II Southern District Council Recreation and District Facilities Committee Leisure and Cultural Services Department Report on the Usage and Extension Activities of Public Libraries in the Southern District Purpose The purpose of this paper is to report to Members on the extension activities organised and the usage of the Public Libraries of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) in the Southern District from January to April 2020. Background 2. LCSD provides free public library services to the public in the Southern District, through a district library (Aberdeen Public Library), three small libraries (Ap Lei Chau Public Library, Pok Fu Lam Public Library and Stanley Public Library), and five mobile library stops located at South Horizons (lay by area of Marina Square), Ap Lei Chau Estate (adjacent to Lei Tim House), Tin Wan Estate (adjacent to Tin Lai House), Shek O (adjacent to First Aid Station, Shek O Beach) and Lei Tung Estate (adjacent to Tung Ping House) of Ap Lei Chau. 3. In addition to the lending and information services provided, the four public libraries organise various extension activities such as storytelling for children, thematic subject talk/workshop, book display and user education session etc. Libraries also organise Reading Programme for Children and Youth, Teens Reading Club and Meet-the-Author session etc. to promote reading culture. 1 Library Extension Activities and Usage 4. The attendance of extension activities and the library usage during January 2020 are reported at Appendices I & II.
