ABSTRACT: The Malda district was formed in 1813. This is an ancient district of Modern North Bengal.1Though the age of this district nearabout 200 years, yet it has passed 500 years as the trading centre. The historical area Pundra Vardhana, Borendri etc were the especial part of this district. KEYWORDS: Training, Employee Performance, Perfect, NationLink Telecom Inc. INTRODUCTION: G.E. Lambournasserted that “the district of Malda, which with that of Dinajpur forms the western portion of the Rajsahi Division of Bengal, lies between 24030/and 25032/30//north latitude and 87048/ and 88033/30// east longitude. It extends over 1,899 square miles and is bounded on the north by the Purnea and Dinajpur districts, on the east by Dinajpur and Rajsahi, on the South by Murshidabad and on the West by Murshidabad, the Sonthal Paraganas and Purnea. English Bazar, situated at the centre of the district in 2500/14// N. and 88011/20// E; is the chief town and administrative head quarters”.2 J.C. Sengupta mentioned in his ‘West Bengal District Gazzeteers-Malda’ that “The name ‘Malda’ was formerly applied to the town which is now known as old Malda.     IOSR Journal of Humanities And Social Science (IOSR-JHSS) Volume 26, Issue 2, Series 8 (February. 2021) 26-33 e-ISSN: 2279-0837, p-ISSN: 2279-0845. www.iosrjournals.org Genesis of Nationalism and Nationalist Movement in a Bengal District Maldah, 1905-1916 Akhil Ray ABSTRACT: The paper is dealt with the genesis of the regional form of national Consciousness that has been emerged during the year from 1905 to 1916 in one of the regions of Bengal namely Maldah. This period has also witnessed the emergence of a new class of English educated intelligentsia, which had been the chief vehicle for spreading nationalist consciousness in this district. Maldah, as one of the regions of colonial Bengal, proved to be significant in many respect in these years of nationalist struggles and paved the future discourse of this movement. The distinct entity of intelligentsia has been developed in the first two decades of the twentieth century in Maldah and it has spread across the region to influence the minds of the people of whom educated played a crucial role. This paper also analyses the diverse role of the intelligentsia and students in two important movements, one was the anti-partition of Bengal (Swadeshi) in 1905 and the other was the revolutionary terrorism. This has also given birth to a new hope and aspirations for participating in these struggles and proved crucial in the ongoing national movements.
