Services offered pursuant to this AT&T Kansas Special Access Guidebook (“Guidebook”) may be offered under those registered trade names or under the brand name AT&T. All services offered by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, whether under that name, the trade name AT&T Kansas or under the brand name AT&T, are subject to the terms and conditions of this Guidebook. (Southwestern Bell Telephone Company or AT&T Kansas is also referred to herein as “the Telephone Company” or “Company” to Customers.)

LEGAL NOTICE

As a result of recent changes in Kansas law governing telecommunications services, intrastate telecommunications services (other than Switched Access services) offered by AT&T Kansas* will no longer be provided pursuant to tariffs filed with the Kansas Corporation Commission (“KCC”).** The change in law includes intrastate Special Access services.

*Southwestern Bell Telephone Company d/b/a AT&T Kansas.

** The designation of a service as “intrastate” indicates that the service is subject to the jurisdiction of the State of Kansas and the KCC, and not the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”). It does not indicate that the service is provided wholly within Kansas; a service can be provided wholly within Kansas and be considered “interstate” and subject to the FCC’s authority.
