I am also delighted with the efforts of Brian Joyner of the National Park Service and a member of this year’s program committee to assemble a stellar roundtable on “Civil Rights and the Albany Movement.” Participants in this session include not only Jeanne Cyriaque, Historic Preservation Division, Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources, and Paul Ortiz of the University of Florida, but also Rev. Charles Sherrod, a key member and organizer of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) participating in this important effort. continued on page 3 >
