Somerset County Council District of South Somerset Parishes of Winsham, Lopen, Chillington, West Crewkerne, Misterton and Hinton St George Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after communicating with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, hereby makes the following order:
1. This Order will come into operation on the 7th day of March 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs.
2. Except as provided in Article 3 of this Order no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait along the lengths of road specified in schedules to this Order
3. Nothing in Article 2 of this Order will apply to:
(i) Anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform; (ii) Police, Fire and Ambulance emergency service vehicles. (iii) Vehicles falling within regulation 3(1), 3(2), 3(3) and 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011(a) when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
This Order may be cited as Somerset County Council, District of South Somerset in the Parishes of Winsham, Lopen, Chillington, West Crewkerne, Misterton and Hinton St George Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Limeklin Lane, From its junction with Purtington Road to its junction with Winsham Cricket St Thomas to Chalkway, a distance of 2634 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 20th March 2019 for 7 days
Ann Bulls Grave Road, From its junction of Hewish Lane to its junction of Cathole West Crewkerne Bridge Road, a distance of 1359 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 31st March 2019 for 4 days.
Henley, Cross From its junction with Seaborough Hill to its junction of Seaborough Road, a distance of 383 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 4th April 2019 for 7 days.
Old A356, Lopen From its junction of Lopen Head Roundabout to its junction Fosse Way, a distance of 352 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 10th April 2019 for 8 days.
Stockbridge Road, From its junction with Furland Lane to its junction with Four Hinton St George Elms, a distance of 195 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 11th April 2019 for 3 days.
Crewkerne Hill, from its junction with Purtington Road for a distance of 25 Winsham metres in a southerly direction. The proposed date of the closure is 19th April 2019 for 1 day.
Sheephouse Farm from its junction with Lambert Lane to its junction with Lane, Chilington Fisherway Lane, a distance of 583 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 22nd April 2019 for 4 days.
Statement of reasons for making the Order a) Because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
