DECEMBER 31, 2017 T HE HOLY FAMILY OF JESUS, MARY & JOSEPH from the Pastor’s Desk...

My Dear Brothers an Sisters in Christ,

Today we celebrate the fest of the Holy Family. It is the day when the Church celebrates the lives of Mary, Joseph and the infant, Jesus, who were joined together as family in Nazareth. Let us pray for our families that they may be inspired by the lives of the Holy Family

I pray that the New Year 2018 may be filled with many blessings for each and every one of you, your families and our beloved parish. Although the obligation to attend Mass on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (New Year’s Day) has been lifted this year, I might suggest that attending Mass would be a wonderful way to begin this New Year. Please note that the Mass schedule is 9 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. There will not be a 6:45a.m. Mass on January 1st.

Please accept my invitation to come to a special Mass in the Extraordinary Form, on Saturday, January 6th, at 8 a.m. As you may recall, January 6th is the traditional date for the Feast of the Epiphany (the coming of the Special Mass Magi). We are planning a “pot luck” breakfast in Mary’s Room to follow the Mass. Please plan to attend and to celebrate bring a little something to share. the Feast of the Epiphany
