Por contra, regresó el Real Madrid, en su 16ª participación. Otros ilustres veteranos fueron el Benfica (12 participaciones), CSKA de Sofía (11) y RSC Anderlecht (10). El Ajax defendía el título por segunda vez consecutiva y partía como claro favorito. Esto permitió que dos equipos, uno el propio Ajax, y otro por sorteo, el Spartak Trnava, quedasen libres de la primera ronda. Primera ronda: ÍBK KEFLAVÍK (Islandia) El regreso del Real Madrid a la Copa de Europa tras dos años de ausencia alimentaba toda clase de comentarios. Los lustres veteranos seguían formando la base del equipo, de ahí saltaban la muchas dudas, pues sus últimas actuaciones europeas habían dejado que desear. El sorteo fue benévolo al emparejarlo con el representante islandés. Su nombre completo era impronunciable para el público español: Iprottabandalag Keflavikur. Se caracterizaban por su excelente condición física y sus muy limitados recursos técnicos. En teoría el Real Madrid debía superar la eliminatoria sin esfuezo. El resultado fue el reflejo de una noche europea desangelada para un Real Madrid previsible, monótono y sin recursos. O mejor dicho, un único recurso: bombear balones buscando el vuelo de Santillana. No hizo un buen partido y, lo que es peor, su rival estuvo con diez hombres sobre el campo la mayor parte del encuentro por la temprana expulsión de Ovejero. En partidos como estos Miguel Muñoz demostraba su fidelidad a los principios más elementales: ante todo asegurar la eliminatoria. Pese a que el Keflavik podía tener un potencial parecido a un segunda español. Así formó sus líneas con el mismo rigor de siempre con un 4-4-2, evitando cualquier sorpresa. Pero en frente el Keflavik era consciente de sus nulas posibilidades y reforzó su defensa igual que en la ida. Asi dispuestos, los noventa minutos fueron un constante dominio del Real Madrid que volvió a demostrar su mal momento. La fuerza y la entrega de los islandeses, además de la mala puntería, fueron prolongando el empate a cero hasta casi el final, cuando Verdugo, sumada al ataque, remató un rechace a dos minutos del final Opinión de los protagonistas: Einar Helgasson: “Los madridistas peor que en el Bernabeu”. En la línea opuesta, por arriba la Juve superó al Olympique de Marsella remontando en 1-0 de ida y por abajo, entre los modestos, el Omonia chipriota hizo valer el factor campo para superar el adverso 1-2 de la ida en casa del Waterford. Más problemas de los esperados para el Ujpest, aunque nunca vio peligrar la eliminatoria. Octavos de final: FC Arge? Pite?ti (Rumanía) En la segunda ronde europea cayó otro rival desconocido, al menos por España. El Arges debutaba en la Copa de Europa. Tan solo contaba con una figura estacada, el internacional Nicolae Dobrin. Además sufrió dos derrotas consecutivas en la liga rumana con lo que cedía mucho terreno para renovar el título nacional.

    Buenos días, Queridos socios y queridos compromisarios, bienvenidos a nuestra Ciudad Real Madrid. Antes que nada os agradezco vuestra asistencia, vuestra lealtad y vuestro compromiso hacia nuestro club. Sé muy bien que a todos nos une un mismo sentimiento. Un sentimiento que nos hace formar parte de esta gran familia madridista donde todos deseamos seguir siendo el club más importante de la historia del fútbol. Esta es la primera Asamblea tras las elecciones a compromisarios celebradas el pasado 24 de abril. Habéis sido elegidos por los socios de nuestro club y estoy seguro de que esa representación supone para todos vosotros un gran honor y también una enorme responsabilidad. Como presidente del Real Madrid os doy la enhorabuena a los que continuáis como socios compromisarios y a todos los que, por primera vez, tenéis el honor de representar a los socios de este club. Os agradezco vuestro trabajo y vuestra disponibilidad para que, juntos, hagamos un Real Madrid aún más grande. Debemos tener muy claro que este es el acto más importante de los que celebramos cada año. Hoy aquí vais a determinar el rumbo y el destino de nuestro club. Y, además, quiero resaltar de manera muy especial que hoy estamos en nuestra casa. Hoy estamos en esta Ciudad Real Madrid y en concreto en este fantástico pabellón de entrenamiento de baloncesto. Como podéis contemplar, nuestra Ciudad Real Madrid sigue creciendo cada año y lo hacemos porque, sin duda, ese también será un legado fundamental para las futuras generaciones de madridistas. Queridos socios compromisarios, para ser fieles a la tradición me gustaría comenzar esta Asamblea rindiendo homenaje a todos los socios y madridistas que nos han dejado.

    Clubs without resilience Summary of the NBA open letter for professional football organisations May 2019 Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants The NBA’s membership comprises a broad, diverse occupational group of over 21,000 professionals working in public accountancy practice, at government agencies, as internal accountants or in organisational manage- ment. Integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentiality and professional behaviour are fundamental principles for every accountant. The NBA assists accountants to fulfil their crucial role in society, now and in the future. Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants 2 Introduction Football and professional football organisations (hereinafter: clubs) are always in the public eye. Even though the Professional Football sector’s share of gross domestic product only amounts to half a percent, it remains at the forefront of society from a social perspective. The Netherlands has a relatively large league for men’s professio- nal football. 34 clubs - and a total of 38 teams - take part in the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie (division one and division two). From a business economics point of view, the sector is diverse and features clubs ranging from listed companies to typical SME’s. Clubs are financially vulnerable organisations, partly because they are under pressure to achieve sporting success. For several years, many clubs have been showing negative operating results before transfer revenues are taken into account, with such revenues fluctuating each year. This means net results can vary greatly, leading to very little or even negative equity capital. In many cases, clubs have zero financial resilience. At the end of the 2017-18 season, this was the case for a quarter of all Eredivisie clubs and two thirds of all clubs in the Eerste Divisie.

Die Stiftung will zudem das Bewusstsein für Sepp Herberger als Persönlichkeit der Zeitgeschichte erhalten und schärfen. Das älteste Stiftungswerk des deutschen Fußballs hat für seine Maßnahmen seit seiner Gründung vor 30 Jahren rund 15 Millionen Euro auf- gewendet. Repräsentanten der Sepp Herberger-Stiftung sind die früheren National- spieler Horst Eckel, Helmut Haller und Uwe Seeler. Bis zu seinem Tod 2004 war auch Fritz Walter langjähriger Botschafter. Titelbild: 30 Jahre für den Fußball, für die Menschen: Die Sepp Herberger-Stiftung feierte 2007 mit 200 Gästen aus Sport, Politik und dem öffentlichen Leben ihr Jubiläum in Hannover.

Il «Torretta» non si ferma allo sport perché premia, inoltre, persone che si sono distinte nella cultura, nelle professioni, nella solidarietà, per la qualità, la creatività, la capacità innovativa, l’umanità e il senso civico della loro opera. Anche per questo la manifestazione ha avuto ampi riconoscimenti a tutti i livelli istituzionali, a partire dalla Presidenza della Repubblica. Nell’ambito della manifestazione verrà assegnato il Trofeo «Atleta dell’Anno», in collaborazione con Telelombardia, Antenna 3.
