Previous meetings • The sides' only past encounter was in the first round of the 1976/77 European Cup, when Valeriy Lobanovskiy's Dynamo beat Tomislav Kaloperović's Partizan 3-0 at home and 2-0 in Belgrade. • The teams when they last met in Belgrade, on 29 September 1976 – almost 31 years to the day before the upcoming fixture – were: Partizan: Ivančević, Antić, Kozić, Hatunić, Tomić (Stojković 8), Kunovac, Zavišić, Trifunović, Paunović (Grubješić 46), Perović, Prekazi. Dynamo: Rudakov, Konkov, Matviyenko (Zuyev 14), Kuznetsov, Reshko, Troshkin, Muntyan, Slobodyan, Buryak, Berezhnoy, Blokhin. • Partizan's overall record in eight meetings with Ukrainian clubs is W2 D1 L5. • Dynamo also eliminated Partizan's neighbours Crvena zvezda on away goals after 0-0 and 1-1 draws in a 2000/01 UEFA Champions League qualifier, and are thus unbeaten in four meetings with Serbian opponents: W2 D2. Form guide • Partizan's draw at Young Boys (1-1) on matchday one was their third in their last four European games (W1 D3). • Dynamo are without a win in six European away matches, but four of those ended in draws (D4 L2). They have scored just once in the course of that run. • Serbian league and cup winners in 2016/17, Partizan have reached the UEFA Europa League group stage for the fifth time in the competition's current incarnation, but are yet to progress to the round of 32. • Ukrainian league runners-up in 2016/17, Dynamo reached the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals in 2010/11 and 2014/15, when they last competed in this group stage. Links and trivia • The journey from Kyiv to Belgrade is around 1,000km. • Dynamo's Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantić started out as a trainee at Partizan but never made a senior appearance for the club, representing their city rivals Rad (2011–12) and Crvena zvezda (2012–13) before moving abroad. Pantić played with Partizan's Lazar Ćirković at Rad. The coaches • Miroslav Djukić was assigned a second stint as Partizan coach in June 2017, having occupied the helm in 2007. The 48-times capped Yugoslavia sweeper played in Spain with Deportivo and Valencia, and has spent much of this decade coaching there too. • Hired as coach in July 2017, Aleksandr Khatskevich won seven league titles as a Dynamo player from 1996–2004, and later worked with their youth and reserve teams. The 38-times capped international coached his native Belarus from 2014–16. 4 FK Partizan - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 28 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade Team facts FK Partizan Formed: 1945 Nickname: Crno-beli (Black-and-Whites) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • European Champion Clubs' Cup: (1966) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 27 (2017) Yugoslavian/Serbian Cup: 14 (2017) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: second qualifying round 2015/16: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2014/15: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2013/14: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2012/13: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2011/12: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2010/11: UEFA Champions League group stage 2009/10: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2008/09: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2007/08: first qualifying round Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Partizan v Rhyl 21/07/09, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Zrinjski v Partizan 19/07/07, UEFA Cup first qualifying round first leg 0-5: Slavia Sofia v Partizan 12/10/88, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-4: Partizan v Beşiktaş 23/10/14, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-0 on three occasions, most recently v Dinamo Zagreb 30/07/97, UEFA Champions League first qualifying round second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 5-0 twice, most recently v Slavia Sofia 07/09/88, first round first leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Zrinjski v Partizan (see above) 0-5: Slavia Sofia v Partizan (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-4: Partizan v Beşiktaş (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 5-0: Videoton v Partizan 28/11/84, UEFA Cup third round first leg FC Dynamo Kyiv Formed: 1927 Nickname: Bilo-Syni (White-Blues) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (2): 1975, 1986 5 FK Partizan - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 28 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade • UEFA Super Cup (1): 1975, (1986) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) National title: 28 (2016) National cup: 20 (2015) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: UEFA Champions League group stage 2015/16: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2014/15: quarter-finals 2013/14: round of 32 2012/13: round of 32 (having transferred from UEFA Champions League group stage) 2011/12: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2010/11: quarter-finals (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2009/10: UEFA Champions League group stage 2008/09: semi-finals (having transferred from UEFA Champions League group stage) 2007/08: UEFA Champions League group stage Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Dynamo v Barry Town 22/07/98, UEFA Champions League first qualifying round first leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Coleraine v Dynamo 02/09/65, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup preliminary round first leg 0-5: Beşiktaş v Dynamo 14/03/87, European Champion Clubs' Cup quarter-final first leg • Heaviest home defeat 1-4 four times, most recently v AS Roma 27/11/07, UEFA Champions League group stage 0-3 on three occasions, most recently v Lyon 17/10/2006, UEFA Champions League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-0 twice, most recently v Juventus 24/09/02, UEFA Champions League group stage UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 5-1: Dynamo v Aktobe 29/08/13, play-off second leg 4-0 twice, most recently v MTK Budapest 13/09/89, first round first leg • Biggest away win 1-4 twice, most recently v Beşiktaş 17/02/11, round of 32 first leg 0-3: Rio Ave FC v Dynamo 18/09/14, group stage • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Dynamo v Anderlecht 04/11/92, second round second leg • Heaviest away defeat 3-0 twice, most recently v AaB v Dynamo 23/10/14, group stage 6 FK Partizan - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 28 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade Squad list FK Partizan Current season All-time UCL QUAL UEL League UEL UEFA No.

  • Fc Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Fk Partizan
PRESS KITS Round of 32 Thursday, 24 February 2005 - 17:00 (local time) Meteor - Dnepropetrovsk FC DNIPRO DNIPROPETROVSK FK PARTIZAN MATCH OFFICIALS Referee Helmut Fleischer (GER) Assistant referees Christian Schräer (GER), Jan-Hendrik Salver (GER) Fourth official Uwe Kemmling (GER) UEFA delegate Jan Damgaard (DEN) MATCH BACKGROUND Dnipro prepare to deny Partizan FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk twice came from behind to deny FK Partizan in Belgrade after the 21-year-old Nigerian striker Obiora Odita had twice given the home side the lead on his European debut. The Ukrainian side fought back with goals from Serhiy Nazarenko in the first half and Andriy Rusol after 57 minutes to wrest the initiative for the return leg. Although neither side won their championship last season, they both did just that in 1983, when the countries, and leagues, were larger. Partizan won the old Yugoslavian league by two points from NK Dinamo Zagreb (now of Croatia), while Dnipro were convincing champions of the former Soviet Supreme League, establishing a four-point advantage over FC Spartak Moskva. The changing boundaries of the old continent mean previous meetings between clubs from Serbo- Montenegrin and Ukrainian are rare. Partizan did lose 5-0 on aggregate to FC Dynamo Kyiv in the first round of the 1976/77 European Champion Clubs' Cup, however. Dynamo, Soviet league regulars alongside Dnipro in those days, won 3-0 in Kiev with current Ukraine coach Oleh Blokhin adding the final goal in the 88th minute. Dynamo confirmed their superiority with a 2-0 win in the return leg in Belgrade, thanks to goals from Vladimir Muntyan and Piotr Slobodian.

For more detailed factual information, and in-depth competition statistics, please refer to the matchweek press kit, which can be downloaded at: http://www.uefa.com/uefa/mediaservices/presskits/index.html Match background FC Dynamo Kyiv will go into their UEFA Champions League Group G opener against Arsenal FC with something to prove after a hugely disappointing performance in last season's competition. • The Ukrainian side did not pick up a single point in the 2007/08 group stage – the worst record of any of the 32 teams. Their troubled campaign involved two changes of coach, Oleh Luzhny replacing Joszef Szabó who himself had succeeded Anatoliy Demianenko after Matchday 1, and ended with Dynamo rooted to the foot of their section with a goal difference of -15. • Dynamo, who finished second in the Ukrainian Premier League last season, have a new man at the helm in Yuri Semin and will hope for a positive start against an Arsenal side who, for all their pedigree, have lost on all three previous visits to Ukraine. • Semin's team certainly reached this season's group stage in some style, beating Russia's FC Spartak Moskva 8-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.
