Tunga Hårdrockarna MASTODON Släpper Nytt Album Och Turnerar Med Metallica 2008-10-31 08:00 CET Tunga hårdrockarna MASTODON släpper nytt album och turnerar med Metallica Atlantabaserade hårdrocksmästarna MASTODON berättar nu om sitt kommande album (Reprise Records) som är planerat att släppas tidigt 2009. Ett sju låtar starkt och 50 minuter långt kraftpaket döpt till CRACK THE SKYE spelades in i Southern Track Studios i Atlanda och mixades/producerades av Brendan O'Brien (Rage Against The Machine, Springsteen, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, m fl). CRACK THE SKYE är uppföljaren till massivt kritikerrosade, episka BLOOD MOUNTAIN (2006) som röstades fram till nr 9 på Rolling Stone Magazines lista över Top 50 Albums of 2007 och Årets Album i Decibel Magazine. I Sverige skrev Linnéa Olsson i SvD att "Mastodon kan uppenbarligen inte göra något fel" och gav albumet 5/6 samtidigt som Dagensskiva.com gav betyget 8/10 och skrev "De tar den gamla hårdrocken och tar den ett steg till på ett förträffligt sätt." Ytterligare utmärkelser kom förra året i form av utnämningen Best Metal Band i Rolling Stone Magazines årliga omröstning samt Best Band On The Planet från Kerrang! Magazine (UK).
