JULI Musikalische Grenzen sprengen und die eigene Kreativität voll ausschöpfen sind das Alleinstellungsmerkmal dieser absoluten Ausnahmeband aus Atlanta, Georgia. Auf ihrem sechsten Album „Once More ´Round The Sun“ (VÖ: 20.6. / Warner Music) haben sich MASTODON einmal mehr neu erfunden und unterstreichen ihren Ruf als eine der wichtigsten Progressive-Metal-Bands dieser Zeit. Im Dezember kommen MASTODON für zwei Headline-Shows zurück nach Deutschland und performen am 12. Dezember in München im Backstage und am 13. Dezember in Dortmund im FZW. Unterstützt werden sie von den US-Sludge-Metallern Big Business und dem UK-Sludge-Hardcore-Newcomer Krokodil. Tickets für die beiden Konzerte gibt es ab dem 18. Das aktuelle Album „Once More ‘Round the Sun“ glänzt mit all dem, wofür die Progressive- Metal-Band aus Atlanta, Georgia bekannt ist: fieberhafte Gitarrenarbeit und grandiose Orchestrierung, hypnotische Soundlandschaften und donnernde Grooves, die selbst den Erdkern zum Erzittern bringen. Inhaltlich setzen sich Brann Dailor, Brent Hinds, Bill Kelliher und Troy Sanders intensiv mit der Allgegenwärtigkeit der Lebenszyklen auseinander. Um den bandtypischen Modus Operandi in Sachen Experimentierfreude und Weiterentwicklung aufrecht zu erhalten, bedienten sich MASTODON zum allerersten Mal der Talente des Produzenten Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Deftones, etc.).
