❏ Apply- Go to your college’s website and follow the instructions to apply. ​ ❏ Open Portal- Within 3-4 business days after applying you should receive college ID with instructions ​ on how to activate your portal. The portal is the main way in which colleges communicate so be checking this constantly.

❏ Assessment- Every college has a different process to help students identify best fit classes. Be sure ​ to complete assessment to know what classes can be more helpful to you!

❏ Accommodations- If you had a 504 plan or IEP while in high school or believe you may need ​ accommodations contact the office of Disability Services Program to receive the intake documentation and schedule a meeting with a counselor.

❏ Financial Aid- Apply for the many financial aid opportunities. Once submitted, check your portal to ​ track progress. ❏ Submit support program application- Find a support program on campus and apply! Some ​ examples are Umoja, EOPS, TRIO, and many more!

❏ Registration- Meet with a counselor or someone that understand about class selection to pick the ​ classes you will register for. ● Registration date can be confirmed on student portal. If no registration date is given, be sure to have completed all steps above.
