Do you enjoy solving challenging math problems? If so, the HHS CA Math League Club is for you! Every Friday from 8:20-9:00, Mrs. DeWit will provide you with math problems that will make you think. The HUSD Governing Board agreed to extend the current online learning model through January 21, 2021, for elementary students and February 1, 2021, for middle and high school students. This decision was made due to concerns related to safety and the desire to create the most stable and consistent learning environment for students. October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Unite against bullying and make your school and community a bully-free zone. You can stop bullying by speaking out! Report bullying cases by phone to 1-800-273-8255 and/ or go to www.stopbullying.gov to receive tips on how to prevent and respond to bullying.

Hemet High ASB has some exciting news! We now have a web store! You can access the web store on our HHS Website under the “Activities Tab.” The web store features a number of items including AP test, yearbooks, ASB Cards, Senior T-Shirts (to come), masks (to come), and many more! Ladies and Gentlemen! Hemet High School Theatre will present the first play of the 2020 school year. A thrilling and suspenseful radio drama titled “The 39 Steps.” A classic Hitchcock drama. This production has two dates to stream the show. TODAY, October 22nd & TOMORROW October 23rd with alternating casts both nights. Seniors: The application window for the Horatio Alger Scholarship is now open. The Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. Are you a high school student who is making a difference through volunteering? You could be eligible to receive the President's Volunteer Service Award and go on to receive a $1000 or $5000 scholarship. The Elks Club is offering 2 scholarship opportunities to our Seniors: 1. The Most Valuable Student scholarship is open to ALL Seniors. Applicants will be judged on the scholarship application, leadership, and financial need. The application deadline for the Most Valuable Student scholarship is November 15, 2020. 2. The Legacy Award scholarship is open to Seniors whose parents or grandparents are Elks members. The application deadline for the Legacy Award scholarship is February 05, 2021. The Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) Foundation is offering at least 6 scholarships to the Class of 2021 Seniors. Your parent/guardian MUST be employed by a California vineyard during the 2020-2021 winegrape growing season to be eligible to apply.
