The VFW Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay competition is now open to all students in grades 9-12. The theme this year is "What Makes America Great". You could be eligible to win prizes and scholarships with the top award being a $30,000 scholarship. The deadline to apply is October 31. Seniors: The Hispanic Heritage Foundation's 2019 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications! Recipients will be selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their excellence in various educational categories. The deadline to apply is October 15th. Are you planning on attending a 4 year college and pursuing a career in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math)? The Edison scholar scholarship could be for you! Edison International is awarding $40,000 scholarships to high school seniors. Please see Mrs. Daniels in the Counseling office for more information. The deadline to apply is December 16.

Interested in going into the Medical or Health Field? On January 7th Hemet High School will be taking a field trip to MSJC's College Health Occupations Discovery Camp. We only have 30 spots available and it is open to all students 9th-12th who are interested. If you would like to attend, please email or see Mrs. Lloyd in the career center asap! Deadline to sign up is October 18th.

Attention Senior Girls: The Soroptimist Community Service Scholarship application window is now open. This scholarship is to recognize high school senior girls with distinguished service to their school and community. The deadline for this scholarship is March 11. Please see Mrs. Daniels in Counseling for more information.

Seniors: Do your parents work for a California vineyard? You could be eligible for a scholarship from the California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation. The deadline for this scholarship is March 06. Please see Mrs. Daniels in the Counseling office for more information.

COLLEGE KICK OFF is on Wednesday October 16th. All Students will begin PSAT & SAT testing. Testing Schedule will be 7:40 – 1:15 so get a good night’s sleep and be prepared! NO LATE START & EARLY RELEASE

HHS Fall Choral Preview Concert will be Thursday, October 17, 2019, in the theater. Concert starts at 7pm and doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5 students, $8 adults. If you would like a 40-50% discount on all 4 or 5 of our concerts/performances this 2019-2020 school year, we are offering a SEASON PASS for $20. We hope to see you there!
