February is Black History Month where we celebrate the contributions that African- Americans have made to the of America. You are invited to: Black History Month Program: Thursday February 13, 2020 at 6pm in the Hemet High School Theater. Food will be provided.

Do you enjoy Art? Do you enjoy Anime? Stop by after school for Art & Anime Club every week on Tuesdays from 3- 4pm in Room 860 (the Art room)

Track season has begun, but it's not too late. Runners, hurdles, pole vaulters, long jumpers, high jumpers...girls and boys. After school, 3:15 at the track. Contact Coach Huck or Coach Karl.

All girls in a winter sport and want to play softball tryouts are TODAY February 10th at 3:00 on the softball field. If you have any questions please see Coach Galloway

Swim season is here! Anyone interested in joining the team needs to go to the pool deck after school. Practices are from 3-5pm and start this week. If you don't have a physical on file with the school you will need to get one done. If you have any questions just show up to the pool after school and find a coach. See you there!

***Scholarship Info***

The Hemet Teachers Association (HTA) is offering up to TEN $300.00 scholarships to seniors whose parents are members of the HTA (i.e. Teacher, Counselor, SLP's, Psychologist, District Nurse) and attend Hemet Unified School district schools. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2020. Please check out the Scholarship bucket in the counseling office for more information.

Hemet Unified School District is pleased to announce that they will be awarding the Governing Board Scholarship to seniors attending Hemet Unified School District schools. Applications are available in the Counseling office. Please see Mrs. Daniels in counseling for more information. The deadline is March 20. Do not miss out on this generous scholarship opportunity!

Attention Seniors: The CAA Youth Scholarship is open to students that have a parent/guardian that is an active duty law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, or EMT. Please see Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office for more information. Applications are due April 10.

The College Board is now offering scholarship opportunities to current Juniors in the Class of 2021. Come check out the scholarship bucket in the Counseling office to get more information on these valuable scholarship opportunities! See Mrs. Daniels in the Counseling office.

The School Employee Association (CSEA) is offering scholarships to dependents whose parents are members of the CSEA. Go to www.CSEA.com or see Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office for more information. Applications are due March 01.

$600 Scholarship Opportunity: If you are a CTE pathway completer or are enrolled in a capstone course please apply to the Hamilton High Mock Interview Competition. Please see Mrs. Lloyd for an application and more information. Applications are due March 6th!

The PB&J Scholarship is looking for students who have experienced challenges in their life - your test scores or GPA may not be the best - but you have the drive to succeed. This scholarship is open to all college bound seniors. The deadline to apply is May 31. See Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office for more information.

The Hemet Woman's Club 2020 Scholarship is now available to ALL Seniors. They are awarding three $1000 scholarships to students from Hemet Unified School District. Applications are due to the counseling office by March 10th, as they need to be received by the Woman's Club by March 12th. See Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office for more information.

The California-Hawaii Elks Major Project has provided financial assistance scholarships to Senior students with disabilities who wish to further their education by obtaining an undergraduate education at either a community college/vocational school or 4-year college. Scholarship applications are due March 15th. Please see Mrs. Daniels in the counseling office for more information.
