PROJECTS STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITIES • Promote stewardship and preserve our heritage • Provide education and community space to several million residents, visitors and students annually • Benefit from strong local support; impact communities across the state

PROJECTS PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT • Create and support jobs across the state • Catalyze local investment. Each dollar invested by the state is matched 2:1 by the projects to create approximately $27 million total investment • Generate nearly $2.7 million in sales tax revenue for the state and local governments

ABOUT HERITAGE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND • Established by a statutory authority in 1995 (WAC 255-02-010 & RCW 27.34.330) • Over $67 million in state funds have been granted, matched by more than $135 million in local investment • Projects are chosen after rigorous state-wide competition • Each project is vetted by a panel of experienced professionals and leaders from disciplines including: heritage and historic preservation, architecture, and economic and community development.
