Serbian Villages of the Srebrenica Region Reduced to Ashes
Milivoje Ivanisevic SERBIAN VILLAGES OF THE SREBRENICA REGION REDUCED TO ASHES SERBIAN VILLAGES OF THE SREBRENICA REGION REDUCED TO ASHES Institute for Research on the Suffering of the Serbs in XX c. Belgrade, 2010. SERBIAN VILLAGES OF THE SREBRENICA REGION REDUCED TO ASHES This presentation of the crimes committed by the Muslims against the Serbian people of Central Podrinje is just a fraction of the entire pogrom of the Serbian population in that region throughout the war. The destruction of Serb settlements and their cultural and religious institutions in that region bear wounds, which have evidently not yet been healed. According to one of the several hundred important documents of the BiH Army in our possession, the following has been stated: “ At the end of January or beginning of February in 1993, within the Zone of Responsibility of the 8th OG (Operating Group, author’s remark), a vast, linked, free territory had been formed, with its centre in Srebrenica, covering 95% of the Srebrenica municipality, 90% of the Bratunac municipality, 60% of the Vlasenica municipality, and 50 % of the territory of the Zvornik municipality. Furthermore, a direct physical link with the liberated villages of the Zepa region was established.” 1 By that time (at the end of January or the beginning of February in 1993), according to the same document, in the above listed municipalities, the Muslims had occupied an area of more than 850 km2 of the entire territory. Their undisputed military success had nearly resulted in the complete extermination of the many Serb settlements in the aforementioned municipalities and had also produced much tribulation amongst the inhabitants of Serb nationality. -

CHAPTER XI - General Conclusions
CHAPTER XI - General Conclusions Chapter XI General Conclusions This Report reflects the findings of theIndependent International Commission of Inqui- ry on the Sufferings of All Peoples in the Srebrenica Region between 1992 and 1995, whose work was authorized by, but independent of, Republika Srpska with the mandate of addressing critical issues in connection with the popular perceptions surrounding Srebrenica during the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Commission is independent in that it does not reflect the joint efforts of any particular institution, be it governmental, academic, legal, or any other form of NGO. Members were selected by virtue of their particular expertise in relevant disciplines and are solely responsible for their contributions to the overall Report. Toward this end, the international members worked independently, individually or with their team, to examine the available facts surrounding the events that occurred in the Srebrenica region during the war years. All avenues of data and information were pursued in order to gather relevant material, despite the fact that some avenues of inquiry were not forthcoming. Nonetheless, best efforts were made by each member in his or her pursuit of providing a comprehensive examination of the facts relevant to the Commission mandate. The multidisciplinary composition of the Commission resulted in different approaches and research methodologies. In addition to published sources and reference works, docu- ments presented before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia during various court proceedings were also largely used. During the reconstruction of the events related to July 11, 1995, primary sources were used to the greatest extent, while secondary sources were used only in those cases when there were no primary sources available. -

IZGRADNJA POVJERENJA KROZ RURALNI RAZVOJ Poštovani sugrađani, Opština Bratunac je aktivno uključena u proces kreiranja stimulativnog i djelotvornog poslovnog okruženja kroz kontinuiranu podršku i ohrabrivanje rastućeg poslovnog sektora.
