Town of Jaffrey Employees 2007 Annual Report TOWN OF JAFFREY NEW HAMPSHIRE IN DEDICATION PRISCILLA G. PALMER 1930-2007 Priscilla’s roots in Jaffrey date back to 1932. She and her husband Charles retired here in 1992. Priscilla served our country as a Disas- ter Relief Representative for the American Red Cross for 20 years. She served Jaffrey as a member of the Historical Society Board of Directors, President of Team Jaffrey, Treasurer of the Jaffrey Women’s Club, member of the Jaffrey Cemetery Committee and the Cham- ber of Commerce. In 2004, Priscilla and her husband Charles were awarded the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce “Citizen of the Year”. She is missed by us all. STEPHEN RECORD 1991-2007 How fitting to dedicate Jaffrey's Town Report to Stephen Record. Steve proudly called Jaffrey his home and loved the setting, the schools, and the community. Steve embodied all that we value in the youth of our community. He was an Honor Roll student and a member of the Student Council. He attended the Homeland Security Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. and volunteered for the C.A.R.E. program at JGS. He was a 3 sport ath- lete, recognized as a Monadnock League All- Star in both basketball and baseball. A captain this year, he treasured his back to back State Championships in basketball. Most impor- tantly he gave back to his community. On any given day you could find Stephen working with Jaffrey's youth, on the ball field teaching and coaching for Cal Ripken, on the court doing the same for the Rec Dept, or down at the beach having fun after a day of working the Pure Shot camps. Leadership in academics and athletics, building character, remaining humble, giving back to the community, that was Steve's makeup. Hundreds of citizens had a hand in Stephen's development as evidenced in his passing. Jaffrey should be proud of the impact it had on Steve and continue to strive to be the fertile garden for our youth today, creat- ing our leaders for tomorrow.
