1. Introduction: Bilateral Chamber El Salvador-Netherlands 2020 As President of the Bilateral Chamber of El Salvador and The Netherlands, I want to wish everyone a happy and joyful 2020. We start this new year with renewed motivation in promoting business between El Salvador and The Netherlands.

The Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce works closely together with the Latin American Trade Agency ([email protected] ). The Chamber and the Latin American Trade Agency could well use the Dutch expertise in agriculture (Wageningen University), water management (University of Delft), seaport innovation (Port of Rotterdam) and organizations to help develop products and help farmers organize cooperatives.

Europe and the Netherlands have a lot of regulations and products rules, that differ per type of product. Therefore, the Bilateral Chamber has to investigate per company and per type of product which regulations are valid, which certifications a product need and what has to be mentioned on the packages of the product in the language of the country where it is to be sold.

2. Objectives:

The Salvadoran Chamber of commerce has many contacts, we can find specific products and the right Importer for your company.

What we can do for you 1. Inform you about the regulations and rules that are valid for your specific product group; 2. Inform and assist you to get the needed certificates; 3. Inform and assist you to find the right company that gives your products the right packages; 4. Find importers that are interested in your products and support you in the contact; 5. Organize events to bring exporters from El Salvador in contact with importers from The Netherlands; 6. Support you in producing the needed promotion material; 7. Support your promotion activities as well; 8. We can be your representative in the Netherlands / Europe and be the agent for the companies that have ambition to do trade with the EU and have products the Netherlands or the Union needs 9. To promote business interests of the private and governmental sector of El Salvador in Holland 10. To organise forums and seminars for Salvadoran companies, having the confidence that this is an effective opportunity for them to expand their businesses in Holland. 11. The Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization founded in the Hague in 2017 and launched on May 15, 2018. During this time, we have worked to promote local and international commercial flows. Our main objective is to promote business between El Salvador and Holland for small, medium and big companies. Currently, the Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce works with volunteers of Leiden University, Senior Experts from PUM and CBI, as well as with reputable Dutch business entrepreneurs.
