Rosalia Condorelli Scientific Curriculum Brief Curriculum Rosalia Condorelli is Assistant Professor in Sociology at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Catania University (Italy). She teaches Sociology and Analysis of Complex Social Systems at the same Department of Social and Political Science. Her prevailing research interest concerns the Complexity and Chaos Theory and the application of its nonlinear modeling to the analysis of social phenomena (Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Theory and Nonlinear Equation Models). Currently, she studies the social integration issues in a increasingly differentiated, individualized and globalized modern society in the light of the most recent theoretical and methodological acquisitions in the field of complex systems. She is member of the Italian Society for Chaos and Complexity, of the Society for Chaos Theory in Psichology & Life Science, and of SPe (Sociology for individual). Among her publications: “Complex Systems Theory: Some Considerations for Sociology”(Open journal of applied sciences, 2016);“Social Complexity, Modernity and Suicide: An Assessment of Durkheim’s Suicide from the Perspective of a Non-linear Analysis of Complex Social Systems” (SpringerPlus, 2016);“An emergentist vs a linear approach to social change processes: a gender look in contemporary India between modernity and Hindu tradition” (SpringerPlus, 2015); “Homosexuality, Homophobia and Support for Lesbians and Gay Human Rights. (ed.), Dynamical Systems: Theory, Applications and Future Direction, 2013);”Applied nonlinear dynamical systems in social science.
