Unsere Strände in der Algarve An der Algarve finden Urlauber alles, was man zu einem besonderen Strandurlaub braucht. Der Atlantik lockt mit fantastischen Wellen, die Surfer das ganze Jahr über an. Besonders beliebt ist dafür die Region um Aljezur, denn dort können die spektakulären Wellen das ganze Jahr über geritten werden. Wer weiche Sandstrände bevorzugt, wird am ehesten an der Küste zwischen spanischer Grenze und Faro fündig. Die Vielfalt der Region lockt aber auch Abenteuer-Urlauber und Sonnenhungrige an. Egal, ob nun Erholung oder Action angesagt ist, hier werden alle gleichermaßen glücklich. Bei 300 Sonnentagen im Jahr ist das auch kein Wunder. Die Südküste der Algarve teilt sich in zwei Abschnitte: An der Westküste finden Sie die schroffen Felswände wie in Sagres und die malerischen Buchten. Teilweise sind sie ganz versteckt und nur schwer zu erreichen. Aber ein Besuch lohnt sich garantiert. An der östlichen Küste befinden sich hingegen die kilometerlangen und flachen Sandstrände. Schauen Sie selbst was Sie in Portugal entdecken möchten. Es gibt so viel zu sehen und so viele Strände, dass wir nun einige von der spanischen Grenze bis nach Odeceixe aufgelistet und beschrieben haben: Praia do Santo António: Nur noch der Fluss Rio Guadiana trennt Praia do Santo António von Spanien. Hier findet ihr ein Idyll, an dem ihr mit der puren Natur in Kontakt kommen könnt. Der kilometerlange Strand wird von einem grünen Dünenwald umgeben und verleiht diesem Ort ein zauberhaftes Ambiente. Obwohl der Strand nicht sehr touristisch ist, findet ihr hier eine Bar und einen Wassersportanbieter. Praia de Monte Gordo: In den Sommermonaten ist am weitläufigen Strand richtig viel los, dann strömen zahlreiche Familien aus Portugal und Spanien hierher, um ihre Sommerferien am milden Atlantik zu verbringen. -

Mit Sicherheit nichts, was die Liebhaber dieser Strände nicht bereits längst wissen. Hier werden durch die feinen Sandstrände, durch die Gischt, die in die Nase eindringt, durch die blau-grüne Farbe des Meeres, durch die Meerestiere, die in den Meeresbe- cken der Gezeiten (wie der Krebs oder der Seestern) und an der Küstenlinie (wie die Delfine) leben, durch die Wärme der Sonne, die die Naturlandschaft mit goldenen Farben überzieht, und letzt- endlich durch die Aktivitäten, die der Strand ermöglicht, unendlich viele Emotionen ausgelöst. Es gibt unzählige Aktivitäten, für diejenigen, die nicht untätig bleiben möchten: Surfen, Bodyboarden, Wasserski, Windsurfen, Kitesurfen, Paragliding, organisierte Bootstouren, Sportfischen, Tretboot oder Kajak fahren, am Ufer Beachball spielen, Sandburgen bauen oder einfach ein Buch lesen oder sich im Wasser des Atlantiks erfrischen. Dies alles ist möglich an unseren Stränden. Wenn Sie ein bekennender Strandgänger sind, dann ha- ben Sie bestimmt schon einige der Strände getestet, die so sicher sind und ausgezeichnete Dienste für die Sommerurlauber bieten. Aber ein Liebhaber der Strände der Algarve zu sein, bedeutet noch mehr: Nämlich zu wissen, dass diese Strände die verlockendsten und schönsten für die Sommerfe- rien und, als Alternative zum Gebirge, für Winterspaziergänge sind. -

Certainly nothing that the region’s most fervent fans are not already aware of. They experience a constant stream of emotions, awakened by the fine sandy beaches, the scent of the sea air, the greenish-blue colour of the sea, the tiny inhabitants of the rock pools (such as crabs and starfish) and the larger ones in the waters along the shore (such as dolphins), the warm sun flooding the natural landscape with its golden rays and all the vast array of activities on offer at the beach. Holidaymakers are spoiled for choice here. You can go surfing, bodyboarding, water skiing, kitesurfing, parasailing or deep-sea fishing; there are organised boat trips, pedal boats and kayaks; you can play seaside racquet games, build gigantic sandcastles, read a book or simply soak in the refreshing waters of the Atlantic. All of these activities can be enjoyed on our beaches. And if you’re a dedicated beachgoer, you’re bound to have tried several, all of them offering safety and excellent services for summer holidaymakers. But being a fan of the Algarve’s beaches means more still: it means recognising that they are more inviting than any others for holidays in summer and walking in winter, as an alternative to the uplands of the serra. -

Nas encostas do vale observam-se bosques de sobro que dão lugar, mais perto da praia, a matos litorais ricos em plantas aromáticas e melíferas que adoçam o ar. O casario branco, encaixado na arriba, é essencialmente de veraneio. -

Probablement rien de plus que les plus fervents admirateurs ne savent déjà. Elles procurent une source sans fin d’émotions suscitées par le sable fin, l’odeur de la mer qui chatouille les narines, le bleu turquoise de la mer, les habitants des flaques de marée (comme le crabe ou l’étoile de mer) et de la ligne côtière (comme les dauphins), la chaleur du soleil qui dore le paysage naturel et les activités sur la plage. Et ces dernières sont nombreuses, à la mesure de ceux qui ne peuvent rester tranquilles : surf, bodyboard, ski nautique, windsurf, kitesurf, parachute ascensionnel, promenades en bateau organisées, pêche sportive, pédalo ou kayak, raquettes de plage, châteaux de sable, lecture d’un bon livre ou simplement bai- gnade dans les eaux fraîches de l’Atlantique. Tout cela est possible sur nos plages. Et si vous êtes un baigneur invétéré, vous aurez déjà découvert quelques-unes d’entre elles, si sûres et disposant d’excellents services d’aide aux vacanciers. Mais être amateur des plages de l’Algarve signifie bien plus encore : c’est recon- naître qu’elles sont, comme aucune autre, les plus agréables pour les vacances d’été et pour les promenades d’hiver, comme alternative à la montagne. -

On the slopes of the valley, you can see cork-oak groves that, as you draw nearer to the beach, give way to coastal scrubland where sweet-smelling aromatic plants abound. -

Die Küstenlinie ist zumeist felsig, unterbrochen biologische Nische dienen. Der Küstenstreifen von größeren Sandstreifen an den Mündungen des Landkreises, die Costa Vicentina, ist Teil der wichtigsten Wasserläufe, Orte, an denen sich des Naturparks und birgt weltweit einzigartige das Süßwasser mit dem Salzwasser vermischt Naturschätze, die in einigen Fällen vollkommen und sich neue Möglichkeiten für Landschaft unberührt von menschlichen Einfl üssen und Lebensformen ergeben. Die eindrucksvolle geblieben sind.
