PRESENTAZIONE volontari del progetto STAF (Storia della Tecnologia delle Automobili FIAT), istituito nel 2009 al fine di selezionare i disegni tecnici più rilevanti per documentare l’e- I voluzione tecnica delle automobili FIAT, sono venuti a contatto anche con i disegni Lancia, contenuti in una sezione dedicata dell’Archivio Storico FIAT: il materiale vi era stato trasferito quando, nel 1984, la Direzione tecnica di FIAT Auto, il settore aziendale incaricato di progettare le automobili dei marchi FIAT, Lancia e Autobianchi, era stata riunita in un unico fabbricato, all’interno del comprensorio di Mirafiori. Fu nell’oc- casione del ritrovamento di questo nucleo di disegni che i partecipanti al progetto si proposero di applicare il metodo impiegato nel predisporre il materiale raccolto nel libro FIAT, storie di innovazione tecnologica nelle automobili, anche per preparare un libro analogo dedicato alle automobili Lancia. Questo secondo libro, attraverso l’esame dei disegni tecnici, del materiale d’archivio e delle fotografie di automobili sopravvissute, illustra l’evoluzione delle vetture Lancia e i loro contenuti innovativi, spesso caratterizzati da elementi di assoluta originalità. Il reperimento del materiale si è mostrato, tuttavia, più arduo rispetto al lavoro sulle vetture FIAT, almeno per le automobili più anziane, poiché l’archivio dei disegni Lancia era organizzato senza impiegare una struttura logica di supporto, per distinguere agevolmente i diversi gruppi funzionali dai particolari di puro dettaglio. -

Sold to Philip Morris Cigarettes in 1974 and used by them in Marlboro livery as a press car. Present at many race, rally and show events, 1003 remained in Marlboro colours through the ‘70s. • Ownership was transferred to Charles Stewart & Co Ltd in England in 1980, the British affiliate of Philip Morris International. 1003 remained in Marlboro colours through the ownership of Charles Stewart & Co Ltd, and was sold to the current, and first private owner in 1999. Used enthusiastically in the current ownership, 1003 has been subject of extensive work which included engine rebuild, suspension rebuilt and repaint. • Presented today remaining fresh from rebuild, and liveried once more in the iconic Marlboro colours it wore from new. • One of the earliest remaining Lancia Stratos Stradale, one of only a handful of cars to ever be owned by Philip Morris Cigarettes and wear the Marlboro livery, 1003 sits in an special group of historically significant Lancia. With Bertone wanting to work with Lancia, they set about penning a design to capture the imagination of the fellow Turninese firm. Bertone was aware that Lancia was looking for a replacement for the Fulvia with a view for use in competition, so set about creating a striking masterpiece around the running gear of a Fulvia Coupé. -

Maranello, 11 March 2021 – The new exhibition at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena brings together the one-off cars built by Ferrari for Gianni Agnelli and meticulously customised in close collaboration with him. This unique collection is a testament to the symbiotic relationship that developed between two of the most charismatic and authoritative figures of the 20th century and endured for over 50 years. “Gianni Agnelli and Ferrari. The Elegance of the Legend” is an homage by the Maranello marque to one of its greatest touchstones, first and foremost as a loyal client and later as close confidant and partner, on the 100th anniversary of the latter’s birth tomorrow. The official online opening of the exhibition takes place on March 12 on the Ferrari Museums’ social media channels and website. As we wait for new government regulations to allow us to reopen the MEF’s exhibition halls to the public, we will be organising two free virtual live tours of around 30 minutes each day until April 1. La 500 Miglia Roma – Montercarlo Viaggio Nella Storia Di Antiche Signore
Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato Agricoltura Savona Comunicato stampa n. 35 del 22 settembre 2004 La 500 Miglia Roma – Montercarlo Viaggio nella storia di antiche signore Hanno nomi che evocano atmosfere d’altri tempi: Balilla, Torpedo, Alfetta, Giulia e Spitfire. Sono le “antiche signore”, le 38 auto storiche che hanno attraversato quasi un secolo di storia senza perdere smalto e grinta. Si tratta di esemplari di pregio, alcuni dei quali unici. Tra questi, la Lancia Artena, la sola vettura superstite delle tre costruite nel 1934, e che presenta queste caratteristiche: 2000 cavalli di cilindrata, 4 cilindri a V stretto, seconda serie, carrozzeria speciale Viotti. Un altro esemplare di grande pregio, il più antico tra quelli che partecipano alla 500 miglia ed unico in Italia, è la Torpedo Cabriolet Wippet 96/A, la cui costruzione risale al 1928. Di questa vettura – ritrovata in Argentina e di progettazione anglo-canadese – sono stati realizzati solo 250 esemplari (4 cilindri in linea, valvole laterali, cilindrata 2400) ed il prezzo di acquisto, all’epoca, fu di 600 dollari. Nel mondo ne sono rimasti solo 6-7 esemplari. Gli appassionati di cinema potranno, inoltre, ammirare un vero cimelio: si tratta della Lancia B24, modello Pininfarina, utilizzata nel film di Dino Risi del 1962, “Il Sorpasso”, interpretato da Vittorio Gassman, Jean Louis Trintignant e Catherine Spaak. La vettura, costruita nel 1958 (cilindrata 2500), percorrerà il tragitto della 500 Miglia, richiamando alla memoria la celebre pellicola. I nostri concittadini e gli ospiti che soggiornano nella nostra Riviera avranno la possibilità di ammirare questi esemplari il 24 e il 25 settembre nell’ambito della 7^ e dell’ 8^ tappa lungo il percorso che porterà le autovetture da Genova a Montecarlo.
