Jimmy Bosco led off with a triple to center field and with one out he Opp. Wins in last AB: 1 scored in a single up the middle by Castillo. With two outs, Steve Bean collected his first RBI of the season with a single to center to put the Extra Innings: 0-0 Chiefs up 2-0. Double headers: 3-1 Shutouts: 3-1 One-run game 3-0 INSURANCE RUN: The offense added on in the fifth. Schulze reached on a fielders’ choice and McElroy walked before a wild pitch put Two-run games 0-1 both runners in scoring position. Bosco took advantage with a single to left-center that scored both r unners and doubled the Chiefs lead to 4-0. The Chiefs dropped all eight road series in 2011 and 2012. Before taking 2 of 3 in April, 2013 at Dayton, their last road series win was 4/14 @ LC W 9-6 July 24-26, 2010 at Lake County. The Chiefs were 5-7 against the east on the road in 2013 with series wins in Dayton & Great Lakes. The sweep in Lake County this week was the first road sweep against an Eastern 4/17 @ FTW Division team since the Chiefs went 5-0 on a trip to Dayton and South Bend July 29-August 2, 2009. 4/18 @ FTW 4/19 @ FTW 4/20 OFF ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: The Fort Wayne TinCaps joined the Midwest League in 1993 after from Kenosha, WI. They were 4/21 CR known as the Wizards from 1993-2008. Ft. Wayne was affiliated with the Minnesota Twins from 1993-1998 and started with the 4/22 CR st 4/23 CR San Diego Padres in 1999. Fort Wayne eliminated the Chiefs from the 1 round of the playoffs in 1998 2 games to 1. All-time the 4/24 CR Chiefs are 65-77 against the Wizards/TinCaps franchise. Peoria is 93-100 against San Diego affiliates having faced them in 4/25 QC 4/26 QC Waterloo (1990-93), Springfield (1994), Clinton (1995-98) and Fort Wayne (1999-present). Fort Wayne won the 2009 Midwest 4/27 QC League Championship in the first year of their new stadium and they hosted the 2010 MWL All-Star Game. In 2013 they made the 4/28 @ BEL MWL Finals before falling to Wisconsin. 4/29 @ BEL 4/30 @ BEL SEASON SERIES: This three-game series will be the only time this season the two teams matchup. Last year, the Chiefs swept Ft. THIS DAY IN CHIEFS HISTORY Wayne in Peoria with wins of 5-1, 1-0 and 4-1. The Chiefs dropped two of three in Indiana in 2012 and in 2001 they lost a pair of 1983 - Devon White hits the first grand slam in Chiefs extra inning games and suffered a 16-7 setback as the TinCaps got a sweep in Peoria. There are requirements for Affordable Housing and if you’ve been following the papers recently, there has been a lot of court decisions and the Affordable Housing regulations seem to change regularly.
