Internationally known, the name of Frank La Forge has become significant, musically, in many fields. A pupil of Leschetizky, Mr. La Forge won his first triumphs as a concert pianist. Later, as accompanist to artists like Sembrich, Schumann-Heink, Matzenauer, and others, he toured and the . As a teacher of voice, Mr. La Forge is preeminent. His method of relaxation and breath control is used and endorsed by Mmes. Lucrezia Bori, Margaret Matzenauer, Messrs. , , and many others. His method is also endorsed by the late Dr. W. J. Hen­ derson, dean of American critics. Yet composition, studied under Labor and Navratil, has been for Mr. La Forge a fruitful means of self-expression. His many beautiful songs are widely known and his piano com­ positions are not less successful.
