First day : A walk through the village From the driveway of Campingplatz Müllerwiese (1) (10) turn right to the Friedenstrasse, walk down along shops and restaurants to the cross roads (2) Friedenstrasse / Wildbader Strasse, there turn left and then take the first street to the right called Aichelberger Weg (3). Now up (11) the hill and then turn left to Enztraufweg (4) direction Bad Wildbad. Short pause on one of the banches to enjoy the marvellous view to the village. Go ahead to a path (9) (12) which leads you to the left down to the river Enz (5). Cross the covered bridge, walk along the gymnasium, then cross the street. A short time straight on and then turn (1) left to the Kirchweg (6), after a short walk turn left again (8) into the spa gardens “Kurpark” (7) with Adventure- (7) (6) Golfpark, show raft, barefoot trail, “Kneipp”-pool, (2) chessfield, “boule”-field. From the Tourist Information (5) bakery (3) (8) back to Campingplatz Müllerwiese or continue (4) your tour: Walk along the old Hotel Krone up the hill to the Gernsbacher Steige (9). Behind the last houses take the left trail and walk into the Hirschtal (deer valley) to the Hirschgehege (deer park) (10) and walk around it. Further down you will reach the „Waldklettergarten“ (forest climbing garden) (11) on the right hand side. Shortly after it you will see the Schnitzermuseum (carving museum) „Krippena 2000“ (12) on the left hand side. Finally go down the Hirschtalstrasse back to Campingplatz Müllerwiese. Second day: Experience Nature At Enzklösterle: the Bärlochkar Hike (2.5 hours) or drive plus hike (1.5 hours) In front of the the green gate of Campingplatz Müllerwiese (1), turn left across the bridge and walk along the Enz (2) passing the sports ground (3) to the Nature Reserve “Bannwald Bärlochkar” (4) (2 km) or drive by car to the parking lot of the Bärlochkar. The path through the “jungle” Bärlochkar is signposted (3 km). Nearby are possibilities to eat and drink at the Forellenhof Klaiber (5) (May - early Okt., Thurs. & Sun. 11am - 4pm, Petersmühleweg) or the Löwen (6) (open daily, Freudenstädter Str. 131). For the way back walk the Bergweg along the woods (7). There you will pass the cultural monument “Rußhütte” (8). (7) (8) (2) (1) (3) (6) (4) (5) Nearby Enzklösterle: Hike to Kaltenbronn (8 km, 2.5 hours uphill) From Campingplatz Müllerwiese turn to the left and walk uphill the “Hirschtalstrasse” until you reach the deer park. Behind the deer park follow the signs to "Kaltenbronn". Take the Diebstichweg (A), turn left to “Obere Hühnerwässerleweg” (B) and to Gosser Hohlohsee (C). Then climb the Hohlohturm (Kaiser- Wilhelm-tower) (D) for a beautiful panoramic view of the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley. Take trail 4 (E) to Kaltenbronn. There you can stop for a bite to eat and drink in Hotel-Restaurant Sarbacher (F). We recommend visiting the Bio Information Center Kaltenbronn (G). Back by bus (free with guest card) (H). Or continue your tour from Kaltenbronn to Bad Wildbad (about 2.5 hours, with no ascent) (L) and from there back by public bus: Take the trail number 1 “Mannslohweg” (I) (K) through the nature (J) reserve “Wildseemoor”. Distance to the romantic Wildsee (J) about 45 (E) (I) minutes, then about 30 (D) (G) (F) minutes further to the (H) Grünhütte (signposted (C) path). Stop for a bite to (B) eat and drink at the (A) Grünhütte (K) (open daily, the blueberry pancakes are legendary!). Afterwards walk another hour to mount Sommerberg (L) (Bad Wildbad) with Baumwipfelpfad (a treetop path, move up in the air!). On the Sommerberg possibilities to stop for a bite to eat and drink. Take the Sommerbergbahn (funicula railway) for a breath taking ride down to Bad Wildbad. Back by public bus (free with your guest card) direction Enzklösterle. => => Variation 1: Drive your car to Kaltenbronn, park it on the right hand side above Hotel Sarbacher (parking lot F for hikers). Make the hiking tour through Wildseemoor to the Grünhütte and to mount Sommerberg. There take the funicula railway down to Bad Wildbad. Back to Kaltenbronn by public bus (Attention: Don’t miss the last bus!) and from there back to the Müllerwiese by your own car. => => Variation 2: Drive to Kaltenbronn by car, park your car at parking space "F" above the Sarbacher hotel. Below the hotel Sarbacher at the bus stop take the public bus to Bad Wildbad. Take the funicular railway to mount Sommerberg. From there go for a relaxing hike to Grünhütte and Wildseemoor to Kaltenbronn. With your own car back to Enzklösterle to Müllerwiese. Third Day: Explore the area by car Drive through Seewald-Besenfeld and Baiers- bronn (1) to reach the Ruhestein (2). There you’ll find the visitor center of the Nationalpark Schwarzwald (the hike to Wilder See is uniquely beautiful). At the famous Mummelsee (3) you can rent a pedal boat or you visit the restaurant or souvenir-shops. Take the Schwarz- waldhochstraße (with spectacular view points) to get to the water basin called Schwarzen- bachtalsperre (4). The way back leads you along the river Murg to (5) Huzenbach and through Seewald-Besenfeld to Enzklösterle. Nearby Enzklösterle: Drive to Bio Infozentrum Kaltenbronn (1) (8 km, Kaltenbronner Str. 600, 76593 Gernsbach-Kaltenbronn), Natural History Museum with interactive exhibition about the nature of the Kaltenbronn and the Black Forest. Go (5) for a walk on the so called “Trollpfad” (2) (2) for children. Or make a short walk to (1) the little (3) deer park and stop for a bite (3) (4) to eat and drink at the Hotel-Restaurant direction “Sarbacher” (4). Enzklösterle 2 km further uphill it is worth to climb (6) the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Tower / Hohloh- turm (5) to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley. Also the nearby nature resort (6) Hohlohsee, a rare sphagnum bog, is worth to visit. Third Day: Explore the area by car 1. BAUMWIPFELPFAD (treetop path) Climb the treetops in a comfortable way and enjoy a brand new view from above. Bad Wildbad, mount „Sommerberg” (12 km) 2. Altensteig with historical old city and beautiful church, as well as with the oldest preserved castle in the Black Forest. Even the outdoor pool with slide and children's pool is worth to visit. (15 km) 3. Nagoldtalsperre Large water reservoir and lake (19 km) 4. BARFUSSPARK (bare foot path) A great experience, not only obstacle course for the feet, but for all the senses. Silberwaldstr., 72280 Dornstetten- Hallwangen (30 km) 5. RIESEN-RUTSCHBAHN (big toboggan run) and Childrens-Mini-Park Enzklösterle-Poppeltal (5 km) Back to Enzklösterle to Campingplatz Müllerwiese .
