Camp New Heights General Information-Travel Camp Ages 12-15 Camp New Heights Director: Cecilia Butler (770) 513-5956 [email protected] Travel Camp Coordinator: Rickey Morgan (404) 937-8125 (Number will be in service 5/27-8/1/14) Camp New Heights Coordinator: Lori Tippett (770) 513-5957 [email protected] Travel Camp Counselor: Amber Stewart Hours of Operation: - Monday thru Friday 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. - Please check your camper in at the Soccer Fields via the car drop-off line each morning by 9 a.m. - Please check your camper out of camp at the Soccer Field via the car pick-up line each afternoon between 4-6:30 p.m. - All campers must arrive by 9 a.m. daily, and be picked up after 4 p.m. daily unless prior arrangements have been made with Rick Morgan, Travel Camp Coordinator - All campers must be picked up from Camp New Heights by 6:30 p.m. daily; late fees start at 6:31 p.m. and are $1 per child, per minute late; late fees are due upon arrival on the day of occurrence Please Note: Travel campers who arrive after their camp group has left for the day and/or do not want to attend the scheduled activity will not be allowed to stay at camp. Camp New Heights CLOSED on the following days: - Monday May 26, 2014 In Observance of Memorial Day - Friday July 4, 2014 In Observance of Independence Day Important Things To Bring/Remember: Clothing & Equipment: - All campers are to bring a refillable water bottle to camp daily - All campers are to wear closed toed/heeled shoes to camp daily; mark all clothing, shoes, equipment, and other personal items with campers full name - All Campers should wear comfortable clothes they can get dirty (old clothes are best). Campers wearing any of the following clothing will be suspended from participating in camp activities: bare midriffs, shorts more than 6 inches above the knee, and/or clothing with offensive language and/or content. - All campers must bring a backpack to store all of their belongings as well as a hat, chap stick, sunglasses and sun block daily - Please check the lost and found at the Soccer Field for lost items on Friday mornings at drop-off; lost and found items that are not retrieved within one weeks time will be donated to a local charity -The YMCA is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen items Meals: -All campers must bring a morning & afternoon snack and a sack lunch with a drink daily. Please keep in mind that your camper will be unable to refrigerate and/or microwave their lunch and/or snacks Medications: - All camper medication (including inhalers) must be prescribed by a doctor and checked in with a Camp New Heights Staff member at morning drop-off; parents/guardians must also complete a Medication Authorization Form; over the counter medications will not be accepted. - Please be sure to pick-up your campers medications on Friday afternoon at the time of pick-up - We are unable to make special arrangements and/or accommodations for campers who are ill or must stay indoors; sick campers need to stay at home Swimming: - Proper swimwear, swim suits for girls and swim trunks for boys is required to participate in all swimming and water related activities - Camp New Heights requires campers to wear swimwear that is modest and age-appropriate; campers with inappropriate swimwear will not be allowed to participate in swimming and/or water related activities Spending Money: - Spending money recommendations are optional with the exception of money for lunch and snacks at Six Flags Over Georgia which prohibits outside food and drinks and meals on our overnight trip June 19- 20, 2014. -Travel campers should not bring large sums of money on field trips.
