Upstream to produce Daily News at 20th World Congress

The World Petroleum Council has appointed Upstream, the leading quality news source for the international oil and gas industry, to produce the Daily Newsletter for the 21st World Petroleum Congress. Held in , , from the 15-19 June this year, the 21st WPC will be the highlight on the oil and gas calendar for 2014, with 5000 delegates, 600 speakers and over 500 Ministers and CEOs attending from around the world.

Dr. Pierce Riemer, the Director General of the World Petroleum Council, announced the appointment and added: “We feel confident that Upstream can provide the unbiased, independent journalism required for the 21st WPC Daily Newsletter. Their excellent proposal, combined with the quality Upstream brings to the table, made them the best candidate to deliver the Daily News at the 21st World Petroleum Congress.”

Upstream was delighted to win the tender for the 2st WPC Daily Newsletter second time running and Erik Means, the Editor-in-chief for Upstream, said that it was a great honour for Upstream to be appointed official publisher of the WPC 2014 Show Dailies. “This is an exciting challenge that is not to be taken lightly. We will assemble a large team of experienced energy reporters in Moscow this June to cover every facet of the congress and exhibition, and we look forward to a news- packed week from start to finish."
