ISSN: 2660-8456 Número Especial Deporte y COVID-19 Presentación de la revista Sociología del Deporte (SD) surge con el propósito de crear un espacio de re- flexión y debate en torno al fenómeno deportivo desde la perspectiva de las ciencias sociales. Pretende conectar desde el rigor científico las principales teorías y corrien- tes de la sociología —pero también las propias de disciplinas afines (antropología, historia, psicología social, ciencias del deporte y filosofía política y moral)— con el debate intelectual de nuestro tiempo en torno al fenómeno deportivo. Promueve el estudio del fenómeno deportivo como expresión de la realidad social y anima a ana- lizar los hechos y cambios sociales a través del deporte. Por lo tanto, la revista está abierta al conjunto de investigadores e investigadoras de las ciencias sociales, con independencia de su grado de especialización. Sociología del Deporte (SD) inicia su publicación en 2020 con periodicidad se- mestral, en formado a papel y electrónico. Comparte los principios éticos de otras publicaciones que emplean el sistema Acceso Abierto (Open Access). Publicará tra- bajos científicos originales e inéditos de carácter empírico o teórico y notas sobre investigaciones sociológicas o áreas afines. También publicará secciones de deba- tes, estados de la cuestión, secciones monográficas y contenidos de especial interés para la comunidad sociológica. Spain includes a number of islands including Mallorca, Tenerife, Ibiza and Gran Canaria. Many can be found in the Canary Islands, an archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa. 6. Sport Science Faculty. University of Granada, Spain ABSTRACT In this study, we have undertaken an analysis of the status of Spanish and British sport models. Sport has become a major socio-economic marvel of the modern world, with broad media coverage and both active and passive participation. Sporting achievement, the public image of many countries, is a top priority for the governments of developed nations and represents a goal of general interest. Using data analysis, we have examined the reality of the sport models in both countries through sportive variables, as well as the financials behind the sporting economy in the last 5 Olympic Games. The data reveals a more efficiency model in UK and a need of change if Spain wants to keep its current level of achievement internationally, where the current model requires a review of its structure and funding sources, public or private, and the modernisation of the federated management model that must be preserved and encouraged through (non-profit) organisations that benefit from a favourable tax system, such as the Sports Federations. This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract In this contribution, we present an evaluation of different mitigation plans to improve NO2 levels in Andalusia, a region in the south of Spain. Specifically, we consider four possible mitigation plans: the effects over NO2 concentration of apply changes in the distribution of Vehicles Park; the effect of realize traffic restrictions (affecting to the density flow of vehicles) over highways and main roads; the effect of replacement of diesel use by natural gas in urban areas; and the effect of ap- plying new velocity limits to access to urban areas. A sophisticated air quality modelling (AQM) system has been used to evaluate these mitigation plans. AQM implemented is composed on WRF meteorological model, an emission model created by the authors and CMAQ photochemical model. AQM analyzes mitigation plans during fifteen episodes of 2011 where NO2 levels were the highest of the year; so we analyze the effect of mitigation plans in worst conditions. -

One of the most important specific qualities of the Islamic civilization is that it is a well-balanced civilization that brought together science and faith, struck a balance between spirit and matter and did not separate this world from the Hereafter. This is what distinguishes the Islamic civilization from other civilizations which attach primary importance to the material aspect of life, physical needs and human instincts, and attach greater attention to this world by striving to instantly satisfy desires of the flesh, without finding a proper place for God and the Hereafter in their philosophies and education systems. The Islamic civilization drew humankind closer to God, connected the earth and heavens, subordinated this world to the Hereafter, connected spirit and matter, struck a balance between mind and heart, and created a link between science and faith by elevating the importance of moral development to the level of importance of material progress. It is owing to this that the Islamic civilization gave an immense contribution to the development of global civilization. Another specific characteristic of the Islamic civilization is that it spread the spirit of justice, impartiality and tolerance among people. -

ISSN 2031-0293 Emanuele Gatti Defining the Expat: the case of high-skilled migrants in Brussels More and more attention is put by sociologists on the relation between cities, devel- opment and the activities and profiles of the people attracted by cities themselves. Brussels is a particularly vivid example of this relation, being so influenced by the mas- sive percentage of European high-level migrants, called Expats, who live there on a temporary or a permanent basis. The article, besides trying to define what an Expat is, provides an exploratory outline of how they are perceived and they perceive them- selves. Moreover, the article analyses their sense of community, showing that speak- ing of a coherent Expats’ community, as it is commonly done by Brussels’ institutions, might be quite imprecise. -

EVOLUTION AND RECENT DEVELOPMENTS OF SPANISH ∗ WINE SECTOR, 1950-2008 MARTÍNEZ-CARRIÓN, José Miguel1 MEDINA-ALBALADEJO, Francisco José2 INTRODUCTION Since the 1980s the traditional European winegrowing regions have been carrying out deep changes in response to the onslaught of winegrowers in the New World. In recent years Spanish regions have been foremost in Europe in terms of change in areas turned over to wine production and distribution (Anderson, Norman and Wittwer, 2004). Some writers have gone so far as to talk about a “revolution in the vineyards and wines of Spain” in response to increasing international competition. The changes have been prolific since Spain’s entry into the European Economic Community in 1986. European agricultural policies supposed a huge readjustment in the geographical distribution of Spain’s vineyards and it had a significant effect on the regions in the country which were involved in the regulation of the wine market. This study analyses the main sequences of changes the Spanish wine industry has undergone: the evolution of consumption through the changes in consumer drinking habits; the leading role of exports in international markets; the spread of different types of marketing and business organization; the distribution in large and small sellers, and the main factors that have been involved in the chain of production and in the modernization of the wineries. 1. CHANGES IN CONSUMER HABITS 1.1 The fall in wine consumption and the arrival of new drinks Wine consumption underwent broad changes on a world level during the second half of the twentieth century. -

The mission of this International Services Centre is to provide administrative support to Customers and Business Partners and to support IBM Sales Organizations for Western EMEA countries (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) (IBM Intranet, 2009, 2 march 2009, p. 1) . It is essential to realize the difference between IBM and IBM International Services Centres, also called Centres of Excellence. IBM Spain deals with the sales of Hardware en Financing, Software and Services (IBM Annual Year Report 2008) while the Madrid International Services Centre addresses only Customer Fulfilment. Customer Fulfilment includes administration, creating proposals for business partners and clients, signing business contracts, collecting payments and cash collection. For mutual benefit, both divisions have to cooperate to attract more business partners, customers and deliver excellent quality to retain the best results for the IBM Corporation (IBM Intranet, 2009, 2 march 2009, p. 1) . In the Madrid International Services Centre, all stated service and support activities are performed by employees coming from all over Europe or even outside of Europe and speaking a wide variety of European languages. The variety of cultures creates an ideal situation for delivering the best business support to Western EMEA countries. Understanding the customer is the first step towards excellent Customer Fulfilment realized by the Madrid Centre (Casalins Suarez, Francisco, 2009, p. 1-3). The Madrid International Services Centre is an independently organized company but operates under the flag and existing laws of IBM.
