In 2017 Castleford Tigers made history, winning the League Leaders Shield for the first time in the clubs 91 year history, in classy style, lifting the trophy in front of a packed house at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle and live on Sky Sports. The Tigers also reached the Betfred Super League Grand Final for the first time in the clubs Super League history.
