We have arranged our wines listing here from ‘’Dry and Crisp’’ to ‘’Full and Powerful’’. While there may be differences experienced in subjective tastes, we hope that this will enable you to more easily select a wine that is in keeping with your tastes. As always, should you desire assistance we will be happy to make suggestions. A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to your final bill. 2 WINES BY THE GLASS - SPARKLING AND CHAMPAGNE 125ml 1. NV Ferrari Maximum Brut £9.50 Trento, Italy A deep straw yellow with a gentle, yet positive and persistent bouquet, with a note of ripe fruit accompanied by hints of crusty bread, hazelnuts and variegated floral aromas. Dry, elegant and well-balanced. 20. NV Pommery Brut Royal £11 Champagne, France The colour is pale yellow with faint green highlights. This is lively, fresh and vivacious, fine, delicate and generous. Citrus fruit and white flower notes combine with small red fruits to offer elegance balanced with great finesse and complex finish. 25. NV Pommery Brut Rosé £15 Champagne, France Delicate pink with salmon tones in colour and fine bubbles. The nose has small red berries suggesting roundness and softness enhanced by vivacious freshness. A subtle rosé character with a perfectly rounded, long finish. WINES BY THE GLASS – WHITE 125ml 175ml 111. 2016 Gavi di Gavi DOCG, Font £6.75 £9.50 Piemonte, Italy One of Italy’s most fashionable whites, it is noted for acute dryness and fresh, flinty acidity. It has a full, delicate, elegant bouquet which brings flowers and fresh fruit to mind - mostly lemons, lilies of the valley and green apples. 109. 2017 Puiattino, Pinot Grigio IGT, Giovanni Puiatti £5.95 £8.75 Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy Pale in colour, with fresh grassy notes and hints of green apples. The palate has a touch of honey making it a wonderful aperitif. 137. 2017 Riesling, Madfish £6 £8.50 Australia The wine is bright, pale straw in colour with green hues. An aromatic lift of zested lime skin and citrus flower provides an enticing entry to the wine. 104. 2016 Picpoul de Pinet, Domaine Roquemolière £4.25 £8.25 Western Cape, South Africa The wine is crisp, light and aromatic, with remarkable freshness on the palate. 133. 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, Yealands Estate £5.95 £8.25 Marlborough, New Zealand This wine shows flavours of passion fruit and blackcurrant leaf with underlying notes of wet stone and thyme. The palate displays good weight and texture, with a focused mineral acidity which delivers fantastic length to the wine. 185. 2016 Semillon Chardonnay, Mullygrubber £4.25 £6 South Eastern Australia The Semillon Chardonnay blend is an Australian classic, delivering an approachable and easily enjoyable style. Ripe, fresh fruit aromas of peach and melon precede a round, juicy palate packed with tropical and citrus fruit flavours. 3 WINES BY THE GLASS – ROSÉ 125ml 175ml 304. 2017 Château du Donjon Rosé £5.75 £8 Langeudoc, France Crystal-clear pink wine with fresh and delicate fruit on the nose. It is aromatic, well balanced and appealing. 305. 2017 Más Amor Rosado, Massard £5.95 £8 Catalunya, Spain Light, elegant complex and dry with vibrant freshness in the glass and a powerful fruity, herby nose. In the mouth there is subtle minerality with a refreshing finish. WINES BY THE GLASS – RED 125ml 175ml 423. 2015 Brusco dei Barbi, Fattoria dei Barbi £6 £8.50 Tuscany, Italy Brilliant ruby red in colour, the wine has a fragrant bouquet with hints of plum and red berries. It is medium bodied with soft tannins and a rich long finish. 460. 2016 Reserve Malbec, Bodegas £5.95 £8.50 Mendoza, Argentina Dense purple in colour with bright brick red highlights. Powerfully aromatic, showing concentrated stone fruit aroma such as plums and prunes with a hint of spicy oak. 497. 2015 The Stump Jump Shiraz, d’Arenberg £5.75 £8.25 South Australia, Australia The nose is chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper. fruit. 462. 2015 Château Laulerie Merlot, Bergerac £5.25 £7.75 South West France, France Soft and supple Merlot blend from up-and-coming young winemaker Grégory Dubard in Bergerac. Lively red fruit with a hint of pepper characterise the nose of this red wine. A supple and velvety palate, accompanied by berry fruit aromas make this medium-weight wine easy-to-drink and ideal for the summer. 483. 2014 Rioja Crianza, Ramon Bilbao £5.75 £8.25 Rioja, Spain The 2014 vintage of this wine is amazing, with aromas of fresh dark fruit, such as blackberries and blackcurrants and hints of Blackberry yoghurt. It has a lovely ripeness and generous fruit character, whilst retaining good structure. 609. 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Cannonball £9.75 £14 Napa, California Balance in the mouth is exceptional from start to finish - strawberry, blueberry, and red apple dipped in dark chocolate, all-spice and a layer of toasted oak.
