SIMPLYMUSICPIANO.COM SIMPLY MUSIC PIANO: ‘Ready to Teach?’ Personal Assessment

Welcome to the Simply Music Piano (3 step) Teacher Assessment. Please watch the short video found on the page where you downloaded this PDF and follow along with the steps below.

Your Mindset 1 On the left you’ll see a list of 8 mindsets, beginning with Open Minded. Let’s use that one as an example. When you look at the Open Minded category, to the right you will see 4 boxes. Each box has a description of open mindedness. Above each box, there are 3 numbers. The numbers express the degree to which the statement is true for you. For example, in Open Mindedness, I most closely agree with the fourth column over and I’m probably a 10. So, I would give myself a score of 10 in the scoring area. As you go down the list, assess yourself, thinking about what is truest for you and to what degree it is true. After you have scored yourself for all 8 categories, you can total the score and see where you land in terms of your mindset. See video for full details on how to complete this table*.
