He has spent the last 23 years serving Ohio communities as an educator in the roles of superintendent (12), director of student services and instruction (1), principal (5), and teacher (5). Matt has been actively involved in the prestigious and nationwide League of Innovative Schools through Digital THANKYOU Promise, also serving as an elected member of their advisory committee. He was selected as one of 100 superintendents nationwide to attend and present at the #FutureReady National ConnectED Superintendents Summit at the White House, was named to the National School Boards Association Top 20 to Watch in the Nation, and conducted his fi rst TEDx Talk in 2016 Matthew Miller entitled: Don’t Buy the Book: Cultivate, Curate and Go Open. His teams have had one GMC loss in 93 games. His overall win percentage has been 85.3% at the varsity level while at the Cardinal helm. He joins the Lakota football family after gathering 26 seasons of high school coaching experience at Northwest High School and Colerain High schools combined. This included 11 trips to the state playoff s during his stint as the Cardinal Head coach from 2007 to 2018 with his 2018 team attaining Ohio Division 1 runner-up honors. He himself was a standout prep player for Colerain as a three-year quarterback posting winning records in each season. He graduated from Colerain, class of 1988, after earning additional varsity letters in baseball. He continued his playing days in both football and baseball while at Wittenberg University before Bruce Eisenhard Davonne Calhoun John Nicol Dominick DeNoma graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in the class of 1993. With the Bolden’s, football has been a family project. Lisa Bolden will have been married to Tom 28 years this fall.
