No.SL-MNGP-78. – Whereas, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has come into force with effect from 5th December 1977, as per the provision of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Act, 1976 by the Government of Maharashtra ; And whereas, on the basis of information received from Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur, I am satisfied that the areas specified in the schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said areas”) are a source of danger to the health, safety or convenience of the public of that area and of its neighbourhood by reason of the area being over crowded and lacking in basic amenities, has rendered them insanitary, squalid or otherwise; And whereas, the New Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has decided that the said areas shall be Slum Improvement Areas.
