Победа позволит им догнать чемпиона Нидерландов по очкам за тур до конца группового этапа и получить неплохие шансы на попадание в Кубок УЕФА. • Команда Валерия Газзаева могла бы уже сейчас иметь четыре очка, если бы удержала победный счет на "Сан-Сиро" в матче четвертого тура с "Интернационале". К 30-й минуте армейцы вели 2:0 после голов Жо и Вагнера Лава. Но в итоге москвичи уступили (2:4) - и остались на последнем месте в группе с одним набранным очком. • Первый матч между ПСВ и ЦСКА состоялся 19 сентября. Новобранцы голландского клуба Данко Лазович и Кеннет Перес забили два мяча после перерыва, и точный удар Вагнера на последней минуте не спас москвичей от поражения. • До этого ПСВ не встречался в турнирах УЕФА с клубами из России, ЦСКА же противостоял двум голландским командам. В первом круге Кубка УЕФА-1996/97 армейцы дома уступили "Фейеноорду" - 0:1, а затем сыграли вничью - 1:1. В Кубке УЕФА-2005/06 они на групповом этапе поделили очки с "Херенвееном" на его поле - 0:0. • В своем последнем матче в Лиге чемпионов ПСВ со счетом 0:2 уступил "Фенербахче" в Стамбуле. Оба гола были забиты в первом тайме с перерывом в две минуты. Победа позволила туркам оторваться на четыре очка, и ПСВ придется сильно постараться, чтобы в четвертый раз подряд выйти в плей-офф. • Матч с "Фенербахче" стал первым в роли и.о. главного тренера для Яна Воутерса, который сменил Рональда Кумана, ушедшего в "Валенсию". Интересно, что армейцы никогда не проигрывают в чемпионате, если Игнашевич забивает. Восемь раз ЦСКА в таких случаях выигрывал и трижды играл вничью. • 13 ноября Газзаев положил конец слухам о своем уходе из клуба, подписав новый контракт до 2011 года. • Финишировав на третьем месте, ЦСКА гарантировал себе место в Кубка УЕФА. Up to this day, soccer continues to captivate billions of sports enthu- siasts all over the globe. Nowadays it is appropriate and entirely justified to talk about the emergence of the foot- ball industry. Basically, modern soccer can be viewed as an international business, since global player trans- fers are made on a regular basis and international professional tournaments are organized. Moreover, soccer leagues may be now rightfully classified as separate commercialized industries. Certain football tournaments perform much better than their competitors in a business sense. In this work, the Russian Premier League in particular is discussed. The aim of the study is to investigate the historic and current issues of Russian soccer, the reasons for their emergence, and the present state. Furthermore, the commercial prospects and possibilities for local football’s business development are inspected. Potential solu- tions to the outlined problems are demonstrated as well.
