7. MEDIA CONFERENCE & ACCREDITATION

7.1 MEDIA PRESS CONFERENCE: There will be no scheduled media conference prior to the championship. Nicole Phillips, Communications, will be in contact with participating teams for specific media requests. Media kits are to be provided for all media at the event. 20 media kits per school are required for distribution at the championship site. 7.2 MEDIA ACCREDITATION: To request media accreditation, please contact Nicole Phillips at [email protected], prior to Tuesday March 12, 2019. Media passes may be picked up on site at the will call if pre- arranged.

9. TEAM TRANSPORTATION

Bus Service (Out of Province Inbound and Outbound travel) For all Teams not flying into the the Host Committee are asked to contact Tanya Babineau 506-850-9280, Coach Atlantic, for bus transportation to Charlottetown. This transportation cost is to be paid by the travelling Team.

Bus Service (Local Ground Travel) The Host Committee has arranged for Teams flying directly into the Charlottetown Airport to be pick up and transported to the Host Hotel. In addition, the Host Committee has arranged for all Teams to be picked up at the transported to all practices and games, a complete Shuttle Schedule will be provided on Monday, March 11. Please contact: Tanya Babineau 506-850-9280 Tanya will require your flight information for both arrival and departure. We would appreciate any advance communication to Tanya, and UPEI Athletics – Koren Bogle-Glenn, once you have qualified and know your travel plans. Please complete the travel form by Monday, March 4th, and send it to our attention so we are aware of your arrival and departure plans. If you require coach busing the duration of the Championships, please provide to Tanya your itinerary and you will get preferred rates. Tanya will provide a quote, and will service your needs. Van Shuttle Service A shuttle service will be provided for VIPs (i.e., media personnel, directors etc.), non- participating Head Coaches, non-participating Athletes and Officials, if staying at the host hotel or officials’/guest hotel. 10. TEAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION

Registration Date: Monday March 4, 2019 (Please use the attached Participating Team RSVP Form). Team packages will be provided at the Host Hotel when you arrive. Included will be the number of accreditation passes based on the Team Form. All other accreditation will be available at the MacLauchlan Arena Box Office will call table. Accreditation passes for participating teams include: § 30 accreditation passes (maximum team complement). § Additional passes will also be provided to the Athletic Director and the University President Accreditation passes will also be provided to non-participating schools for: § Athletic Directors § Head Coaches § Award Winners Any additional accreditation passes must be requested in advance of the championship. Competition Venue Information: 12.1 FACILITIES: MacLauchlan Arena, Bell Aliant Centre

The Bell Aliant Centre is a multiuse recreational facility established in 2004 through the collaboration of the City of Charlottetown, Town of Stratford and University of Prince Edward Island. This 160,000 plus-square-foot facility is conveniently located on the campus of UPEI and has become a lead hosting venue of World, National and Provincial tournaments with the distinction of being the most active recreational facility on Prince Edward Island and features one of the most functional recreational setups in Atlantic Canada with two official NHL sized ice pads (200 x 85) inside MacLauchlan Arena, a 25-meter 8 lane competition pool, leisure and toddler pool, hot tub, accessible change rooms, waterslide and diving boards. The complex has 4 community rooms including a board room, 2 multi-use rooms and two fully licensed hospitality suites.
