    Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2009-145 Ottawa, 17 March 2009 Various specialty, pay, pay-per-view, video on demand and, satellite-to-cable undertakings and community-based television programming undertakings Across Canada Administrative renewals 1. The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the various programming undertakings set out in the appendix to this decision from 31 August 2009 to 31 August 2010, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences. 2. This decision will enable the Commission to consider the further renewal of various specialty, pay, pay-per-view, video on demand and satellite-to-cable undertaking licences by taking into account the determinations in Regulatory frameworks for broadcasting distribution undertakings and discretionary programming services, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2008-100, 30 October 2008. 3. In addition, this decision will enable the Commission to consider the further renewal of community-based television programming undertakings by taking into account the determinations that will result from its review of the regulatory frameworks for community-based media to be scheduled in November 2009. 4. It will also permit the Commission to consider the renewal of the major conventional broadcasters at public hearings to be scheduled in April 2009 (CTV, Canwest, Rogers, TVA) and September 2009 (CBC/SRC). 5. This decision does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences and interested parties will have an opportunity to comment at the appropriate time.
