His client list has included Pulitzer Prize-winning writers, television stars, professional sports leagues and numerous media companies. A former television journalist, he spent eight years working as a reporter and news anchor for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and has appeared on CNN, among other major networks. Mr Riley has a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, his Bachelors Degree from Dalhousie University and a Journalism Diploma from Humber College. Sam Hill – Deputy Commissioner and League Counsel [email protected] Sam is a Toronto sports lawyer and former University of Toronto basketball star. He has spent his career involved in the sports business. Over the past twenty years, commencing at the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP in New York, New York (the former firm of both David Stern and Gary Bettman), Sam has advised all manner of sports clients, including the NBA, NHL and MLS, several professional hockey and baseball teams (including the Toronto Blue Jays), the Toronto Argonauts, the Toronto Thunderhawks of the NPSL and numerous others in connection with all aspects of player-team-league relationships, including franchise ownership issues, collective bargaining, rules interpretations, organizational and administrative issues, minor league concerns, league and team policies and procedures, front office employment and human resources matters, player-agent disputes, stadium/arena and ticketing issues, lobbying, and negotiation and drafting of all types of agreements, including media, sponsorship and licensing agreements. Sam's deep and unique knowledge and understanding of the legal and business issues affecting sports leagues and teams provide a powerful complement to NBL Commissioner Paul Riley's experience and capabilities. Audley Stephenson – Public Relations Director, Producer/Host of “NBL Canada Live” [email protected] Audley Stephenson is the producer and host of "NBL Canada Live" which is the main publicity and promotion vehicle for the league. Throughout the regular season and playoffs, "NBL Canada Live" provides coverage on all NBL Canada teams through exclusive web based interviews providing the latest updates, highlights and stories from players, coaches and league personnel. Audley also produces the official league weekly podcast that he co- hosts alongside Carlan Gay which airs during the regular season. Audley is both an author and professional speaker and is no stranger to the media/broadcasting industry. He has personally interviewed hundreds athletes and celebrities through a NBA talk show he co-produced/co-hosted for five seasons. The National Basketball League of Canada Page 3 Clive Henry – Chief Digital Officer [email protected] Clive brings two decades of experience as an Executive in Broadcasting, Digital, Social and Streaming Media to the NBL Canada league office. The Dalhousie University graduate was also a standout for the 1995/96 Championship Dal Tigers Men’s Basketball team. Clive has resided in New York City for the last 10 years where he obtained his MBA at Fordham University’s Graduate School of
