New Year's Eve 2013: Watch the ball drop on live stream feed or TV December 30, 2012 By: Matt Couden

It’s time for New Year’s Eve 2013 and that means plenty of ways to watch the ball drop live on television or via live online streaming feed. There’s several big specials planned for multiple TV channels in addition to webcams available online for all the festivities Monday night!

The Seattle PI website reported on Sunday, Dec. 30 that there will be specials on PBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, FOX and MTV. The most popular of these is of course “’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013.” The special officially begins at 10 p.m. EST, but there will be a 2 hour special at 8 p.m. EST to pay tribute to the late Dick Clark, the man who is synonymous with this great event. The 10 p.m. special, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will include a lineup of performers featuring Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift, Flo Rida and Pitbull.

NBC’s special is hosted by Carson Daly and therefore called “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly.” He’ll have Cassadee Pope of “The Voice” along with Angela Kinsey of “The Office,” and musical group Train. CNN will also have a 10 p.m. start for “New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.” In the past, Griffin has made all sorts of explicit jokes and remarks, making it a must see for fans of the comedian and reality TV star, with Cooper trying to keep her at bay.

Meanwhile, FOX will present “New Year’s Eve Live!” starting at 11 p.m. EST, hosted by Marlon Wayans, with Tate Stevens, Lifehouse and Carmen Electra part of the show. MTV also gets started at 11 p.m. EST with “MTV’s Club NYE 2013.” Jenni “JWoww” Farley of “Jersey Shore” fame will co-host the show with comic Jeff Dye. Performers will include Rita Ora, Sean Kingston, Ne-Yo and Ke$ha.

Those who want to watch the ball drop on live stream feed online, have the option to check out several live webcam sites. These include the cam at EarthCam.com, or the website TimesSquareNYC.org, which will present a webcast of the ball drop starting at 6 p.m. EST through 12:15 a.m. EST in the New Year 2013.
