RUGBY WEEK 2019

During the March holiday, DNC hosted yet another successful Rugby Festival. This year we hosted 18 schools from across KZN and schools from Gauteng and had a total of 30 teams participating in our festival with 16 teams staying at the school. Twizza came on board as our first ever drinks-sponsor and supplied the coaches and staff with plenty of refreshments during the week. We brought Coffee Studio on board as well to handle our social media for the week and found great success with this as some videos and photos of the week was viewed over 500 times and over 100 shares of various photos and videos.

We would like to congratulate the various winners of the tournament, Birchleigh High School first team for winning the A division and Linpark High School for winning the B division. The /16 division was won by Ferrum High School.

The success of the Rugby Festival can truly be contributed to the extremely hard work and dedication of the DNC staff and a big thank you needs to go to Mr Quintin Lategan and his ground staff for preparing our fields for the festival. We would like to thank Twizza for the amazing sponsorship and look forward to working with them again in the near future as well as Biztec for the 1st team sponsorship. We are looking at making the Durban North College Rugby Festival even bigger and more exciting in 2020 with many new ideas in the making! Mr. Vernon Lombard
