Vorwort: Schöne Touren im und um das Val Müstair Das östlichste Ende der Schweiz Val Müstair. Ganz im Osten der Schweiz, im Kanton Graubünden liegt - von der Zentralschweiz nur über zwei hohe Alpenpässe erreichbar - das "Val Müstair", auf deutsch "Münstertal", auf italienisch "Val Monastero". Es erstreckt sich auf einer Länge von etwa 25 km zwischen dem Ofenpaß und dem Obervinschgau. Das Tal ist eines der Bündener Südtäler und das einzige, in dem die Bevölkerung nicht italienisch spricht, sondern vielmehr rätoromanisch, die vierte Landessprache der Schweiz. Es liegt auf einer Höhe zwischen 2149 m am Ofenpaß und etwa 920 m bei Glurns im Vinschgau, wo der Talbach, der Rom - auf deutsch Rambach - in die Etsch mündet. Die Berge rund um das Tal erreichen Höhen bis über 3000 m. Sechs Dörfer liegen im Tal, eines auf einer sonnigen Terasse etwa 300 m darüber. Das unterste Dorf, Taufers, liegt bereits in Südtirol - also in Italien. Dort spricht man anders als im übrigen Tal, eine Tiroler Mundart. Die italienischen Namen in diesem Teil rühren aus der Geschichte nach dem ersten Weltkrieg, als Südtirol zu Italien kam und alle Orte, Berge und Gewässer auch italienische Namen erhielten, die sich im allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch aber nicht durchgesetzt haben. So sind dort alle Wanderwege und beispielsweise auch die meisten Gasthäuser deutsch beschildert. Einzig die amtlichen Verkehrszeichen sind zweisprachig und zeigen auch die italienischen Bezeichnungen. Schon aus diesen Angaben ist zu sehen, daß sich hier Wandermöglichkeiten der verschiedensten Arten bieten. Von der einfachen Talwanderung bis zur anspruchsvollen Hochgebirgswanderung. Ich möchte im folgenden einige meiner Favoriten in diesem Gebiet und der näheren Umgebung beschreiben. -

Darin soll der Schutz der Lebensräume und ihrer Wildtiere auch in der traditionsreichen Kultur- und Naturlandschaft seinen Platz finden. Ein ausgewogenes Zusammenspiel von Ökologie und Ökonomie garantiert dabei die langfristige Lebens- grundlage der Bevölkerung. Um innerhalb dieses Rahmens touristische Nutzung und Entwicklung zu ermöglichen, bedarf es eines umsichtigen Gebietsmanagements. For this purpose, the present study was carried out in two sub-catchments of the 21 glacierized Sulden River catchment (130 km², Eastern Italian Alps) in 2014 and 2015, 22 characterized by similar size but contrasting geological setting. Samples were taken at 23 different space and time scales for analysis of stable isotopes of in water, electrical 24 conductivity, major, minor and trace elements. 25 At the monthly sampling scale for different spatial scales (0.05 – 130 km²), complex spatial 26 and temporal dynamics for different spatial scales (0.05 – 130 km²) were found, such as 27 contrasting EC electrical conductivity gradients in both sub-catchments were found. -

81. TOURENSKIWOCHE TSCHIERV 3.-10. MÄRZ 2018 Samstag 3. März: Dieses Jahr reisten alle via Landquart an und im Zug nach Sagliains sickerten die ersten News durch. Statt der angemeldeten 28 werden es dieses Jahr „nur“ 26 sein, da für einen Pechvogel in dieser Woche eine Herzoperation geplant ist, und ein anderer sich gestern noch schnell eine Rippe gebrochen hat. Offenbar war der gestrige Freitag 2. März ein Rippenbruchtag, denn ein anderer Anwesender brach sich ebenfalls gestern seine Rippe, hoffte aber, trotzdem auf die eine oder andere Tour mitzukommen. Kurz vor 12.00 Uhr erreichten wir nach einer schönen Postautofahrt mit einer ganz lieben Chauffeuse, die uns auf alle Gämsen und Hirsche am Wegrand hinwies, unser Ziel, das Hotel Al Rom in Tschierv. Schon eine halbe Stunde später gab es für alle selbst gemachte Tagliatelle mit zweierlei Saucen, gesponsert aus der Skiwochenkasse. Eine sehr gute Idee! So gegen 13.45 Uhr startete die Einlauftour. In zwei Gruppen ging es den Berg hinauf Richtung Piz Dora. Die etwas gemütlicheren schafften es bis zum Schäferhüttli, die andern noch ca. 200 Höhenmeter mehr. Am Schluss waren wir alle gleichzeitig wieder wohlbehalten im Hotel. Beim Znacht wurde wie üblich Beinschiene und Rettungsschlitten verteilt. Die Kaffeerunde übernahm der schon fast pensionierte Köbi. Alle blieben lange sitzen, keinen zog es zu einem Jass, etwas Ungewohntes für eine Skiwoche. Auch vergass man, ein Lied zu singen, was bei einigen schon Hoffnungen weckte, dass es so bleibe. Gegen 22.00 Uhr verzogen sich die meisten, und siehe, da fand sich doch noch ein Jassgrüppli. The Ortler High Mountain Trail High-altitude hiking at the Ortler in the Stelvio National Park The Ortler High Mountain Trail The new Ortler High Mountain Trail extends around the Stelvio National Park, from Venosta Valley in South Tyrol to Valtellina in Lombardy. With an altitude performance of 8,126 m across the entire route, this high Alpine hike circumnavigates the Ortler Group, in sections running at over 3,000 m altitude, and is one of the most demanding high-altitude routes in the Alpine region. Here, everything is demanded of even the most experienced mountain hikers: surefootedness, good fitness and suitable equipment are basic requirements for the seven-day tour, as one section runs over glacial terrain. The company of a mountain guide is recommended. The Ortler High Mountain Trail is approximately 119.5 km long, and offers a highly unique experience in nature. It is divided into seven daily stages, each of which can be completed in six to eight hours. The individual stages of the circular hike can also be undertaken as eventful single-day hikes exploring the wide variety of local fauna and flora in the Stelvio National Park. The ideal time for all experienced mountain hikers is between June to September, with mild temperatures and clear visibility offering a unique panoramic view of the Ortler Group glaciers. Each stage of this high Alpine circular hiking trail offers its own special scenic highlights in the truest sense of the word.
