Special Events April 29: Golden Week (April 29th- May 5th) begins Golden Week, a collection of four national holidays in Japan, is one of the busiest weeks of the year. The Expo site in Aichi is sure to be abuzz with energy and the Canada Pavilion as well.

Performing on the Global Common 6 Stage April 24, 25, 26 (13h30) 29, 30 (12:30 pm): Shaye Individually, Kim Stockwood, and Tara MacLean are three of Canada’s most exceptionally talented singer-songwriters. Together as Shaye, they are one of the most exciting musical collaborations Canada has seen in a long time. Get a taste of the East Coast with the music of this -winning trio from Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island as they perform all week and through Golden Week on the Global Common 6 stage.

Visiting this Week in the Manulife VIP Lounge of the Canada Pavilion April 23 - April 29: Canada & Japan - New Horizons: "Partners in Excellence" Starting in Tokyo and continuing to Nagoya, this Trade Mission and Automotive Seminar is organized by the Japan Society of Canada and the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association. It will feature participants and speakers from diverse backgrounds coming together in an effort to gain insight and develop plans for nurturing future industrial partnerships with a global perspective for the future. Guests include the Ontario Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mr. Joseph Cordiano as well as academic leaders and senior officials from the industrial sector.

April 25: Commissioner Generals from all pavilions are invited by the Canada Pavilion The Canada pavilion is inviting Commissioner Generals from all pavilions to experience Canada at Expo 2005. A special reception at Manulife VIP Lounge will enable all attendees to sample Canadian products, while fostering good working relations.

Coming Soon May 5: Anne of Green Gables Day The Canada Pavilion is celebrating Children's Day with a special event dedicated to Anne of Green Gables. Several events and activities have been planned to enable visitors to have a first-hand experience of the beloved Canadian fictional character, Anne of Green Gables.
