Known Issues/Limitations

Under Windows95, you cannot print to a G9000•S/9500•S if the controller firmware version is FP1.7 or older. The quality of the output is not always as expected on an Océ 9500•S. This is due to the machine, not the interpreter or the driver. The output from the thermal machines is fine. Starting Designer from a network drive when it is not installed locally on the client PC may show a ``?'' in front of some font names. Printing using one of those fonts will result in a PostScript error. However, this happens with other PostScript drivers as well, and is due to the invalid installation of the application. Vertical text in text array has wrong alignment for 5200 and 9600 under Windows 95/98 with Excel 97 Tall letter with a border presents a wrong alignment for 5200 and 9600 under Windows 95/98 and for 9400 under Windows 3.11 with Excel 97 Halftoning has sometimes no effect, depending on machines, OS's and applications Can't set unprintable area if custom size paper is chosen. Dark colors for all color printers and all OS's. Multiple copy doesn't work correctly with Powerpoint. "Reinforce" option isn't recognized for 9600 under Windows 95/98. Tray selection doesn't work for 4900, but Autotray does. Scaling doesn't work properly for 4900 under Windows 3.11 and NT 3.51 with Excel 5. Wrong selection for B4 paper size for 4900 under Windows 3.1. Only 600 dpi resolution for 4900 under Windows 3.1. Negative option doesn't work for 9400 under Windows 3.1. Clipping with mirror option for 4900 under Windows NT4.0. Clipping with A3 paper size for 9400 under Windows NT 3.51.

Support for the 4900 Changes in WP 1.6 Added an install script for Windows NT4.0, so that PPDs can be installed under NT4, using the standard Microsoft PostScript driver. Changes in WP 1.5 This version fixes 2 bugs: CR121: Windows 3.x, G9000S/9500S/9400: When printing with some applications (like notepad, Acrobat reader, ...), selecting paper size A4 or A3 resulted in malformed pages, usually square-shaped instead of rectangular. The G9034-S, G9035-S, G9054-S, G9055-S, 9555-S, and 9575-S are no longer listed separately, they have been replaced with G9030-S, G9050-S, and 9500-S.
