 Automotive Technician Core  Automotive Technician Standard  Customer  National Automotive Student Skills Standards  National Career Readiness PROGRAM DESCRIPTION  Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth This two-year course utilizes a cluster approach that allows students and opportunity to gain experience in each of the automotive servicing areas. The POSSIBLE CAREER PATHWAYS students learn how to make minor repairs, to tune-up , to change  Auto Mechanic and balance , to install shock absorbers, to do oil changing, to do lubrication, and to perform routine maintenance procedures. Electrical  Mechanic systems and components of the cooling system also studied. Students also  Auto Repair Estimator receive instruction in cost estimation and in following technical specifications,  Brake Mechanic automotive schematics and diagrams. At the conclusion of this course,  Specialist students will be knowledgeable of the various automotive servicing areas and employable in this industry. Interdisciplinary skills are the cornerstone for  Tune-up Specialist quality, high paying automotive occupations of the future. This course is  Auto Mechanic Helper designed to build these skills.
