Daffodil Project

Last year, November 2018, the students of the Learning and Engagement Center participated in The Daffodil Project. They planted over 200 daffodils.

This year, the L&EC students are going to expand the garden and plant 200 more daffodils. These resilient, bright flowers that return each spring are part of the worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial honoring the memory of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust.

Below are some pictures from last year:

La S’hana Tova! Wishing each of you a Sweet, Healthy and Happy New Year!

We held another successful honey fundraising event as you wished your family and friends a sweet year. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who attended our first program this year and our very first Book Club in the Sukkah! The book was Mamaleh Knows Best: What Jewish Mothers Do to Raise Successful, Creative, Empathetic, Independent Children by Majorie Ingall. The book prompted a lively conversation on each of our families and histories. Thank you Stephanie Beckman for putting together this fun program! If you did not pick up a copy, there are still some available in The Gift Shop. What a great idea for a Hanukkah gift!

Speaking of Hanukkah, The Gift Shop will have the annual Maccabean Kids Gift Sale on December 8 during Sunday School. All gifts are $10 and under for the kids to purchase for family and friends. Don’t forget to send spending money with them that day. Our annual Tax Free Holiday Shopping Day will be the following Sunday, December15, so come by and pick up some great gifts!

We will be posting upcoming events in the bulletin, so stay tuned for more!

Hope to see you soon!
