It is important that you read and understand the following information.

To be eligible to enrol in a dual degree program you must ensure that you satisfy the entry requirements for both programs.

Once enrolled it is your responsibility to ensure that you complete all the requirements for each section of this dual program in order to graduate with both degrees. The following information is designed to help you plan your enrolment to meet this goal. Further information can be found in the Official rules and Course lists under the Program Rules and Requirements link for each program in the Programs and Courses website: https://my.uq.edu.au/programs-courses/program.html?acad_prog=2444&year=2019

You may have to swap courses in the plan to allow you to finish with your desired major/s - please check prerequisites and semester offerings on Programs and Courses. You are not required to submit this program plan for approval. However, if you have any questions or concerns about meeting degree requirements, especially when you are nearing the end of your program, please contact the BEL Faculty for advice.

Please note: Students exiting early with one component of a dual degree must complete the single degree requirements of that component. Students will then be required to follow the single degree rules to complete the remaining component from that dual degree and maximum credit rules will apply. PROGRAM GUIDELINES You must complete a total of 64 units for the program comprising - • 32 units of compulsory courses from Part A of the BCom and Group 1 of the BEcon Course Lists (not including ACCT1101 and ECON1011); and • 14 units from the BCom Course List comprising -

o 12 units for one major in Part B (6 units must be at level 3); and o 2 units elective courses from Part B or C; and • 18 units (at least 8 units must be at level 3) from the BEcon Course List, comprising either -

o one major in Group 2 (6 units must be at level 3) and 6 units from Group 3; or o elective courses from Group 3, with no more than 4 units of non-ECON coded courses. Note: You may only include a maximum of 6 units of Level 1 courses towards the program (excluding Part A and Group 1 courses). Courses can only count towards one program (not both):  Students may not count ECON2300 towards the Finance major, as it is a compulsory course for the BEcon.  Students cannot count FINM1415 towards the International Trade & Finance major, as it is a compulsory BCom course.
