  • Chronological Progression of Interior Design in Bangladesh with the Historical Faction and Scrutiny
Historical Research Letter www.iiste.org ISSN 2224-3178 (Paper) ISSN 2225-0964 (Online) Vol.28, 2016 Chronological Progression of Interior Design in Bangladesh with the Historical Faction and Scrutiny I. Ar. Farhana Choudhury Lecturer, Department of Interior Architecture Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Bangladesh Abstract The study of Interior design history of any country or society signifies the history of the settlement of the particular society, their level of culture, heritage, education and environment. All these several aspects indicate to the originality, individuality or in a word, ‘Design statement’ of a specific society or country. Design Statements serve to present intent, process, and the context of work. They vary from addressing a specific piece to looking at the overall approach to design. Design as art is the choices that the designers make in distinguishing themselves from others, and design statement is an expression of those choices. Modern human life actually evolves within one Interior to another. One may prefer open air, cool breeze or open field once or twice in a day but for resting purpose, executing household works, education or profession the ultimate destination is within the enclosure of four walls, a ceiling and a floor, an Interior space. So Interior plays a very significant role in life. There are several perspectives to look into Interior design; it may be professional or armature but the important aspect of it is impossible to escape. Keywords: Interior, Design, Chronology, Historical Progression, Movement Introduction: The study of interior design, its development and changes throughout the history, is a useful way both to explore the past and to make sense of the spaces in which modern life is lived.

The University System of Georgia FORMAT FOR NEW PROGRAM PROPOSAL (Submit three copies) For assistance in developing a proposal, contact the Office of Curriculum Systems at 542-6358. Institution_____University of Georgia______________Date___March 7, 2008____ School/College/Division/Institute ______College of Arts and Sciences ______________ Department__________Religion_____________________________________________ Name of Proposed Program __________Arabic_____________________________ Degree___A.B________________________Major ___Arabic_______ CIP Code__16.1101___ Starting Date __Spring 2008 or ASAP________________ Program description and objectives American leaders now realize that national security depends in part on the degree to which we will are able to communicate with the various peoples of the world in their languages. The U.S. National Security Language Initiative expresses the pressing need for education in critical languages in the following manner: "An essential component of U.S. national security in the post-9/11 world is the ability to engage foreign governments and peoples, especially in critical regions, to encourage reform, promote understanding, convey respect for other cultures and provide an opportunity to learn more about America and its citizens. To do this, Americans must be able to communicate in other languages, a challenge for which most citizens are totally unprepared." As an increasing number of Americans now realize, Arabic is certainly one of the most important languages that educators have a responsibility to teach. Nevertheless, in spite of the need for citizens with expertise in Arabic, there is no institution of higher education in Georgia, public or private, where a student can major in Arabic. Consequently the objective of our proposed undergraduate Arabic major is to train students to achieve a high level of fluency in speaking, orally comprehending, reading, and writing "standard" Arabic.
