General Notes  Anglia Ruskin University has three campus: , , and . These charges apply to DSA provision at all three campuses.  Students studying Anglia Ruskin courses at our Associate Colleges are supported by the Associate College and not through Anglia Ruskin. Assessors should contact the college directly to obtain support charges.  Students studying distance learning courses through Anglia Ruskin will need to be supported locally and not through Anglia Ruskin University.

Study Support Mentor / Mental Health Mentoring £56.00 Mental Health Adviser Proofreading Guidelines In exceptional circumstances, where assistive technology is not a viable option, proofreading may be recommended through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). There is a significant difference between proofreading and editing. If a student receives proofreading support via the DSA, then the following principles will be adhered to:

A proofreading service will:  identify spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors  highlight problems with layout, font, number style, etc.  identify errors in labelling of diagrams, charts, or figures  highlight areas where the intended meaning is not clear  identify repeated phrases or omitted words  highlight inconsistencies with referencing A proofreading service will not:  change the writing style of the student  rewrite passages of text to clarify the meaning or correct logic errors  change any words, except to correct spelling  amend any errors in factual data (facts, numbers, etc.)  check or rewrite calculations, formulae, equations, or computer code  rearrange or reformat passages of text  contribute any additional material to the original text  re-label diagrams, charts, or figures Anglia Ruskin Transcription Centre

Anglia Ruskin Transcription Centre has over fifteen years of experience in the transcription industry supporting blind, partially sighted, and other disabled people. Our transcription services include:

Our services are offered, free of charge, to any student studying an Anglia Ruskin University degree either on our own campus or via our Associate Colleges.

Our services are also available to those outside our university; prices available on our website. Quotes for large jobs are provided free upon request.
