For this reason, the most sophisticated technology presently available in tunnelling or, more precisely, in the sector of mechanised tunnelling in urban areas, is being exploited. The construction of Line C will almost double the area covered by the current underground network. You will need to stamp your ticket in the yellow machines when getting on the bus or tram, and/or put it through the turnstile when entering the Metro. A month pass costs €35 and allows for an unlimited number of journeys for that calendar month. A year pass costs €250 and allows for an unlimited number of journeys for 365 days from the date of purchase. If you are a full year student, purchasing a year pass is worth an investment. Metro Rome’s subway system (Metropolitana) has three lines and is marked by red M signs on city maps. The two lines, Lines A (red) and B (blue), intersect at Termini Station. Subway Line A connects the Vatican with Anagnina, the central bus terminal for routes to other cities in Lazio. Line B extends from Rebibbia to EUR. A recently inaugurated Line C connects area of Via Casilina to Pantano.

It can be reached by car, bus, tram and metro line B (Circo Massimo stop). Access to FAO Headquarters 2. Access for visitors to FAO Headquarters is through the Security Pavilion, at the Viale Aventino entrance, where visitors’ belongings are scanned by a metal detector while they pass through a glass door, before proceeding to the security desk. 3. Access to FAO Headquarters is restricted to persons in possession of a valid building pass. Participants with meeting badge can enter only through Building A Entrance (Viale Aventino entrance). A valid identity document, which can be either a passport, driver’s license or a national identity cards, or valid UN Laissez Passer for UN Agency members, will need to be presented to registration officials at the Visitors Centre to collect the Building Pass.
